Re: Citizenship on the basis on Irish children (Irish Association)

"The sibling is undocumented but was born in Ireland. " You at least have a birth certificate I hope? I suspect they'll be subjected to the same rules as any sibling (parent here at least 3 years, or they can naturalize when they turn 5) Yes I have a birth cert. When he was born 2007 I was illegal....

Re: Citizenship on the basis on Irish children (Irish Association)

What do you mean undocumented? Do they still not have a valid residence permit? No citizenship application can be considered if the applicant does not have a valid residence permit at the time of application. They would have to get a valid residence permit and live in the state as a lawful resident...

Re: Citizenship on the basis on Irish children (Irish Association)

Not really . She can’t apply through Irish association. She can apply on own right after 5 years of residency. I’m on the same boat. Irish association means the descendants of Irish National . You are the parent of Irish National so it doesn’t make you descendant . If your parent was Irish National...

Re: Citizenship on the basis on Irish children (Irish Association)

Wow, can you elaborate? That's kind of a game changer - makes Zambrano a bit unnecessary, no? I never even thought of that but I have two Irish citizen children, would make things simpler if nothing else! Can a sibling of an Irish born child living here in could apply for Irish association? The sib...

Undocumented son

Re: Undocumented son

As he is a minor, stamp 4-will be tough but he will be at least entitled to stamp 3. An application needs to be made to the minister for consideration of his position. You ought to have added him to your Zambrano application. I am confident he will be granted something, as he falls within the ambit...

Re: Undocumented son

You'll want to go here and look at form 10 - http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/WP16000022#how-to-apply - I do understand money is tight but a good solicitor's advice is worth an awful lot. Hi Fuzzbizz, Can you recommend a good immigration lawyer. I went to a lawyer before for zambrano judgement ...

Re: Undocumented son

Written representations will have to be sent to them about the situation of the 11years old, as there is no fixed form for that purpose. Sorry for asking this again I will address it to the minister of justice is it? Is there a risk to my status if I will try to apply for a re-entry visa for my chi...

An application need to be formally made for the child. The status are not the same, as the minister does not tend to issue stamp 4 to children, unless it is EU fam.
I agree however that length of residence permission is the same.
Hi Obie, how will apply to the minister ?

Re: Undocumented son

Child status is same as parents if minor. You should get his passport and get re entry visa on his passport as he is minor he doesn't need to register with GNIB. Hi dubnew, how will I do this and how will I register him? My son was born here in Ireland and he never left the country so I don't under...

Hi there again Obie, I'm currently on supplementary welfare allowance. I didn't apply for child benefit yet.im waiting for my irp card. I don't want to be a bu...
