Frontline healthcare staff seek end to Irish citizenship delays

I hope these 200 non-European healthcare workers who ask for fast-tracking them through the process are well aware there are other workers in Ireland who are not medical staff but are also essential and work as supermarket staff, as drivers, as data centre technicians or on critical infrastructure a...

Re: Additional documents sent to the address for applications

I haven't had any luck getting them on the phone or via the e-mail so we just sent them a letter with the Police Clearance records and we are hoping for the best.

Re: Additional documents sent to the address for applications

Generally they send you a letter confirming receipt of documents. I had to send additional documents too and never received any confirmation letter. Few months later I got the second stage letter. So I would say not to worry too much about this. Thank you all, let’s see now once they respond what h...

Re: Additional documents sent to the address for applications

Generally they send you a letter confirming receipt of documents. Did you not sent it by registered post. You can trace the delivery that way I did sent it by registered post - It was signed and received on Oct 9th at TIPPERARY D.S.U. CO TIPPERARY and there is a person's name who signed and collect...

Additional documents sent to the address for applications

Hi Everyone, I have a weird scenario here. In September we were requested to provide additional documentation and police clearance records as a part of our citizenship application. We have sent partial documentation and we have requested an extension as initially given 28 days were not sufficient to...

Re: Court rules "continuous residence" means you CANNOT LEAVE IRELAND AT ALL for year before application

What are the thoughts of forum members about traveling until this is resolved? We are holding off making Christmas travel plans in case the decision is not overturned but it looks like nothing is moving even for people who have not left the country for a day since there are no new ceremonies planne...

Re: Free FBI fingerprint cards

I went into the station and waited to be seen, explained that I needed fingerprints for immigration purposes. The officer sent me away with requirements and I came back the next day with a postal money order (available from any AnPost office), an electricity bill in my name and 2 pieces of ID (pass...

Re: Free FBI fingerprint cards

Can i ask where you got your fingerprints done? I've had mine done 4 times now at various Garda stations but they've all been rejected by the FBI due to their poor quality. Thanks I got mine done at the Garda station opposite Busaras in Dublin. Had to pay €60 by postal order, bring proof of ID and ...

Re: Court rules "continuous residence" means you CANNOT LEAVE IRELAND AT ALL for year before application

I believe one has to keep a cool and steady head and wait to hear from the minister of Justice. The department is very silent at present. Re: Court rules "continuous residence" means you CANNOT LEAVE IRELAND AT ALL for year before application

All of the above points and some of us travel for work. It's a bit too restrictive
