Re: 200k route - ILR application if the company has gone into liquidation

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, the other business he setup himself is a genuine business and trades, employs 2 full time people (initially done to meet the requirement). Just wanted to get some clarity on whether the investment of £200k needed to be evidenced again at the time of ILR, and whether ...

200k route - ILR application if the company has gone into liquidation

Posting on behalf of my parents Applied for the Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa which was received in May 2019 and entered UK a week later (June 2019). Investment of £200k made and registered as a company director of a Private company in June 2019. Extension application went in July 2022 and we're still wa...

Process after biometric enrollment

Enquiring on behalf of my wife who submitted her application back in Feb and has not heard anything since. I’ve summarised the details below in the format used on the tracking threads, but am getting worried as we’ve had no confirmation or letters from the Home Office since the biometrics were enrol...

Re: Wife's case - apply for ILR using SET(M) OR FLR again

I have been in touch with the Settlement Checking departments of a couple of councils (Wandsworth and Southwark), and they are reluctant to take on the case as she was not on a "Spouse Visa" for 2 years. I am slightly unsure what the technical differences between a "Spouse Visa" and that of a "Work ...

Wife's case - apply for ILR using SET(M) OR FLR again

I'd like to get some advice for my wife's visa case, which has baffled us a little bit. 1. My visa between 2007 and 2012 was a Work Permit. We got married in November 2011, and she applied for a visa and was granted leave as the spouse of a Work permit holder from 28/11/11 to 15/10/12 (when my visa ...

Re: Question regarding supporting docs for FLR(M) applicatio

Have a question regarding my wife's FLR(M) application. As some members may be aware, I submitted my SET(O) application for ILR back in March 2012, and after a lengthy wait for 10.5 months, finally got all documents and BRP back last week with ILR successfully granted. In the meantime, my wife was ...

Why are you making a FLR(M) application for your wife? Why didn't she apply for ilr with you? I applied for my ILR based on the 10 year Long residence category, for which I was eligible earlier than I would have been under the 5 year Work permit category. Obviously, I had not imagined at the time t...

Well, called up the Immigration Enquiry Bureau and was directed to send in a covering letter explaining the situation to the CLS team at the Sheffield Office which would be handling the case. Enclosed a copy of the BRP just in case, and waiting to hear back. Can't believe no one else has had to face...

Re: Update plz

If you look at the spread sheet OttoMatik has stated that he has lost a passport. This usually further delays the process. You say that, though I'm not too sure how relevant that is. After I lost the original passport - I needed to get a TOC (Transfer of Conditions) as my replacement visa would not...

Thanks both for your replies. Talked to a solicitor who wasn't too sure whether it was actually possible, as the SET(M) guidelines clearly state that it's not possible to get ILR without spending at least 2 years in the country (I reckon he wasn't too clued up as he was just reading the forms and te...

FLR(M) or SET(M) application route ?

Wondering if someone could shed light on some questions I have for my wife’s visa renewal. I am a holder of an old style 5 year work permit, granted in 2007 and valid till 15th October 2012. However, I was also eligible for ILR under the 10 years long residence category, which I duly applied for in ...

@Dhakavillage1 - there is no logic to it mate. I believe there are some people who applied in March and are still waiting for the biometric letter. The process is simply very inconsistent. There is no guarantee that doing biometrics will favor a speedy outcome. I concur with this. Applied in the fi...
