Re: Spouse visa extension help required

Thank you. If we submit but her biometric appointment is after 4th July which is when the visa expires is this fine? For the first application I submitted a house report. As nothing has changed I don’t think it’s required. Just a letter from parents to say I live there and they own it etc. Hi I hope...

Re: Spouse visa extension help required

Hi I hope you are well. I need some assistance if possible please. The current visa is valid for 2 years and 9 months as opposed to 2.5 years. Does this mean I can still apply before 4th July for her to not be considered as an overstayer? It says it needs to be applied 28 days before ? does it reall...

Re: Spouse visa extension help required

Thank you both for the quick replies. I initially submitted a housing report when I first completed my initial spouse visa application. I'm guessing this is not required as we have been living there for the past 2.5 years now and nothing has changed? Please confirm, thanks.

Re: When to Apply FLRM, maximise ILR window

Am I right in thinking as long as the op applies for an extension before the expiry of current visa even if its a day or two earlier they aren't a overstayer as the application was submitted before? How does it work in terms of waiting for a decision? Once the visa is issued, will it be from the exp...

Re: Spouse visa extension help required

Thank you for the reply. I am planning to apply end of May or start of June. When would she be classed as an overstayer? As in, is it if I apply after 4th July? My concern is if I apply June and the application takes eight weeks for an answer. Would she be an overstayer or will this not apply as the...

Re: Visa vignette surname change

1. You can't change the visa vignette, not sure if that is what you are asking. Presumably your spouse has a BRP card now. 2. She needs to change her foreign passport to her married name. Then apply for a new brp replacement card in her new name. It would have been far easier to change her passport...

Hi, I applied for spouse visa for my partner. Her visa was approved in October and she has been in the U.K since the end of October 2019. The visa was issued with her previous surname and I wish to change her surname to her marriage surname so its matching my surname. How can I go about this? What a...

Hi my partner has applied for spouse visa June 2019. We received an email on 20th September asking her to submit passport at the application centre within 21 days. Does this mean the application has been successful? Will they still require her to submit passport if the application has been refused....

Re: SPOUCE VISA KEEP MY PASSPORT

Does this mean the application has been accepted now that they are asking for passport or can it still be refused? The only way to find out is when your partner receives their passport back. Nevertheless, it doesn’t make sense they would reject the visa and still ask for the passport. You might pre...

Re: SPOUCE VISA KEEP MY PASSPORT

Did they mention how long it usually takes? My partner handed in last friday and still no news. I'm getting slightly worried now. It isn’t automatic, if that’s what you’re expecting. I handed over my passport when they requested it and they contacted me two weeks after to say the passport was ready...

Re: SPOUCE VISA KEEP MY PASSPORT

There was a small issue at the border control, I think it was because I arrived on the last day and maybe because the system showed my refusals. I was put in a waiting area (you know next to queue with glass walls) for like 5 minutes, but everything was fine and they let me in! That’s really useful...
