Re: MP says Home Office didn't receive Docs

Contacted my MP regarding the application because I have paid for the Priority Service. It was working day 30. His PA rang me to tell me that nothing has been decided because I haven't submitted any documents. The next working day after my wife's biometrics I went to VFS in London and submitted the...

Re: LOST VFS slip to get passport

That slip usually be retained by the applicant only as its not required to sheffield. But maybe her national ID card might allow her to collect the passport. It was a receipt with the proof of payment for the priority pass, so I took that when submitting the documents in London in order to show it ...

LOST VFS slip to get passport

Hey, So when my wife sent over the originals to the UK, she sent over the slip to collect her passport. On the 11th May I sent it back to her - Royal Mail tracked and signed. As you can guess, it has gone missing - what fantastic luck! Has anyone experienced this before? What should I/we do? Many po...

Re: Supporting documents/VFS

I also have printed photographs with my husband, they aren’t on A4 paper, will this be acceptable? I think they insist and accept only A4 sized copies. Oh no! I will print the pictures on to A4 sized paper then. I have about 50 photos, will 4 per page be okay? Make sure they are clear and annotate ...

Re: Supporting documents/VFS

Yeah tell me about it! I had my wife send all the originals over to the UK! An expense I didn't need to pay! Yes, according to VFS you can scan online - where you do this is a mystery. No information anywhere regarding this, so I just paid for the VFS service in London - extra money, but at this sta...

Re: Supporting documents/VFS

I’d suggest you look up the rules because it may be that that is the case? Maybe just do it the same day as biometrics Where can I find the new rules info? I did my wife's this month. I did it through Visa4uk site. Biometrics are taken. ONLY AFTER that you go down to the local VFS centre for them t...

Re: Child born outside UK, when father is on ILR then naturalisation while mother has no visa/british

Hi, From the Gov website. I don't think your child can get it automatically because you naturalised after the birth. https://www.gov.uk/apply-citizenship-british-parent/born-on-or-after-1-july-2006 You’re automatically a British citizen if you were born outside the UK and all of the following apply:...

Re: Experience of scanning documents new procedure

Hey, I did mine on Tuesday in London. I arrived at 10:30 and had to wait for 2 people in front of me. Man helped me arrange them. Then took them and charged me an additional £20 for a courier to send them back. He said this is the procedure. They arrived home today. As spouse visa has no option to s...

I think it’s alwys best to go in the morning It costs £75 to scan and upload. Do the give you a pdf file of what they've scanned so you can check it? The idea of s...

Re: Spouse Visa - How to submit docs in UK? NO information anywhere?!?

Oh great.

How long did the process take and was it fairly straight forward?

All emails we've received are clearly out of date as there was a change of procedure at the end of March 2019. - Very very stressful times :( :( :( :(
