Registering a foreign birth
At present, due to the complex nature of the Foreign Birth Registration it takes between 12 to 18 months to process a completed Foreign Birth Registration application.

If you're currently living in the USA, you won't be able to use the online passport service. This service is only available here:

Shouldn't be too long the turnaround time for first time adult applying for a passport is according to the website min 30 working days. https://www.dfa.ie/passports/turnaround-times/ just to set expectations, my wife applied for hers earlier in the year from the UK and it took best part of 4 months...

No need to call list of acceptable witness on the website under witness tab.

Your supporting docs the marriage cert should be posted to the same address with your application number and a cover note.

I'm 100% sure as of the last few months, even if submitting at London counter or via passport express in Glasgow or Liverpool offices would be a min of 65 working days, and as it is coming into the summer months I would expect that to go outwards past 70 working days, priority is given to renewals a...
