Re: Foreign Birth Registration

In USA-at first I had no idea about a "stamp" Stamps are a very UK/Ireland thing I think - it's basically a rubber stamp with their name, address, phone number, etc on. I was surprised they asked for it, it's very retro. Not that common these days, but then business cards are quite old fashioned to...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

In the hope my certificate arrives soon I have started to look at the passport application. It says the witness has to stamp the photo. I work in a hospital so surrounded by suitable people but none of them will have a stamp! What do I do. The Medical Director witnessed my passport copy for the fbr ...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

With so many people getting emails asking for confirmation of address and many getting this on their birthday I checked my emails on Monday in anticipation. Nothing! So today I called the FBR and got through quickly. The lady asked the date of my application and I said May 2018. She said you mean 20...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Sulla thank you for your kind words about my application. I just can’t understand why it is taking so long as it is now over 15 months with no information on progress. I have tried phoning and emailing but get no response. I know this won’t speed up the application but I just worry it has gone astra...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Of those of you who have been asked from additional information how long has it taken from that to being added to the register? I am just wondering if you go back to the beginning of the queue or what. As mine was all accepted and passed on to a senior person in December I thought I would have heard...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

My wait seems to continue for ever.... As you can see from Sulla’s helpful list I received an acknowledgment email on 15 May 2018. In October 2018 I was asked for my mother’s passport copy to be rewitnessed. I then had some email questions about my grandmother’s date of birth. Everything was complet...

I have said before and will say again here, that in the case of my application the submission date was acknowledged as the date of application. This formed part of an answer to a formal complaint I made and came from the head of the FBR department in writing. Legally, it is not tenable to claim any...
