Quick question, can a non-EU national apply for an EEA residence card after receiving settled status? I.E. apply for settled status, receive confirmation and return of documents then apply for EEA residence card?
Just a follow up question on this. Since I'm an Irish national and automatically have "settled status" do I need to provide residence information for my wife's settled status application?
Thanks for the reply! I am not sure I understand the last bit of your response though. Once she changes to a pre-settled status, will her 2.5 years on tier 2 not count anymore towards her PR/ILR? i.e. its a new count for another 5 years?

I am an Irish citizen by relationship with the Republic of Ireland. I have never resided in NI or hold any relationship with NI. I.E. I am not eligible for dual Irish/British citizenship (I presume this is what you are referring to).
