Re: Questions pertaining to citizenship application

Thank you so much for your prompt and helpful reply Zimba. About question 1, am I correct in assuming that you are suggesting that I should start the application under 'Apply as a spouse of British Citizen'? If so, will it let me start a new application under this category under the same username /...

Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

Does this mean the documents will be checked at the backstage and still get submitted before my appointment- the thing is, now I can’t tell if they are submitted or not. Don’t think the staff will let me know before my appointment. @CULLINAN suggested patience at this stage - obviously patience did...

In short, Documents Checking Service is a waste as I have been repeatedly commenting on the forum. Anyways, it is done and dusted, sit tight and enjoy the next ride.
Thank you :)

Biometric Appointment experience

Thought I’d give some experience on my biometric appointment, especially regarding the document submission if document checking service was purchased. Attended my appointment yesterday - after the photo finger prints and signature were taken, the staff said my documents have been checked and they ar...

Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

This is quite enjoyable to read. But what did you mean ‘uploading was no longer an option’ - thought you could upload and submit additional evidence on your appointment day. Glad you liked it - swear it is true. Apologies for nor being clear - it was not an option for me as you only get to click 'S...

Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

After playing cat/mouse with the appointments availability 28 days ago, today completed my biometrics/submission. My appointment at the Mecca of the Passport Offices : London – Her Majesty’s Passport Office Globe House, 89 Eccleston Square, Pimlico, London, SW1V 1PN was for 12:30. Was there 12:05. ...

Can't comment or recommend anything further on whether and how to pre-handle - of course, if you have all the details of destination countries you could summarise it in a separate note, plus explain why you supply the information.
Thank your for your reply, it’s much appreciated.

Re: Which Route to use - British spouse or ILR?

UK border stamps are sufficient. A cover letter is not required. Hi, thank you for your reply. The guidance regarding the document did mention the stamps ‘when entering the UK’. It’s just I read at another forum that there was one person only had re-entering UK stamps not destination stamps, and go...

Passport Stamps

I was imaging some sort of way that HO knows when we depart anyway. API information filed by you with the airline at the time of taking the flight... Thank you, I didn’t know it existed. Sorry back to what worried me in the first place - am I right that re entering UK stamps are sufficient? Thanks.

Re: Which Route to use - British spouse or ILR?

No I have never been on EEA route, and not an EEA family member either. Then in that case, your passport stamps should be sufficient as your passport should have been stamped at least every time you re-entered the UK (and likely even when travelling within the EU before Brexit). Thank you. It was a...

Throughout your immigration journey, have you at any time held status under either the EEA Regulations or the Settled Status route for EEA citizens and their family members?

Re: Which Route to use - British spouse or ILR?

I would suggest you just wait patiently now. I dont think this will be a big issue waiting a couple more days/weeks. When is your appointment? UKVCAS helpline will be a waste of time and money. Re: Which Route to use - British spouse or ILR?

Does it say submitted in front of each file name? For example “File A (submitted)”? Yes the documents are sent from your side, but maybe the DCS service will block them until they are checked. I am not sure if they will be checked before your appointment due to the DCS service. I can not guarantee ...

Your documents will be submitted at the appointment now. The people who have purchased documents checking service (DCS) or have the same on their package should upload documents up to 48hrs before appointment (to benefit from the DCS service). Log in to your UKVCAS account and see the uploads. Chec...

Re: Which Route to use - British spouse or ILR?

The checklist does not generate LIUK in the documents list. Now, there is no certificate for LIUK - only a ref number. People who have older than (i forgot the date maybe its 2019 or something) have the certificates also. Thank you! I did the self-submission earlier, only to find out that if one ha...

1) Yes.
2) No. Only once is fine.
3) Does not matter.

Hi CULLINAN thanks for your quick and reassuring response as always. Now I wonder if I filled anything wrong in the application form so that it didn’t generate Life-in-the-UK certificate as a required document!

Re: Which Route to use - British spouse or ILR?

Hi, just getting the documents prepared for uploading - I know the below might have been asked before but I haven't quite managed to dig out a definite answer: 1. My check list doesn't include life-in-the-UK certificate. I know I have provided the ref number in the form but is it just safer to uploa...
