Re: Tier 2 extension dates

Actually your ILR 5y will be calculated from 31/08/2019, and you can apply 28 days before that 5 y anniversary. So you can apply 03/08/2024. OK thanks. And it's 31/08/2019 because that's the earliest between the vignette 'valid from' date and the date my BRP was issued (06/09/2019)? Yes that's righ...

Re: Have you made any previous UK immigrations applications in the UK or abroad?

You should enter the details of all your visa applications you've made for the UK. Including tourist visa, previous work visas etc. Like the question says any previous UK visa needs to be mentioned.

Re: Tier 2 extension dates

- My new visa / BRP card will be valid to 08/09/2024 (14 days after end date on CoS) - If applying for a 2year extension, your new BRP will be valid for 2 years from when UKVI issue your visa. That depends on application date, biometrics, and processing time. [/highlight] OP is correct, new BRP wil...

Re: Tier2 5 Years route

Your 5 year qualification for ILR is from the visa issue date listed on the BRP/Visa Vignette in passport. Not your CoS. So if your visa was issued in Dec 2019 (according to your first BRP issue date) then ILR qualification will be Dec 2024. Your visa extension will have to cover you until that date...

Thank u very much to both of u for ur response.
Its very helpful.
Ywlgy is right. What I meant to say was its tour date of application that is the key and needs to be 28 days before 5Y. It cannot be earlier than that. Biometrics date doesn't matter when looking at qualification period.

Re: How strict is the travel/absense match for ILR application

Yes that's exactly it. You enter all the dates of trips out of the UK in your online application. You will also provide a signed letter from your employer confirming and listing the same dates. It might be intense but that is the requirement as it is now.

Re: When is the earliest date i can apply for ILR?

Thanks alot for your response. One more thing, is it possible that i fill and submit online application and fee a month before 28 days and book my biometrics appointment at the same time, keeping biometrics appointment within the 28 days period? Or can i not do that? Yes, You can do that. Your date...

Re: How strict is the travel/absense match for ILR application

The guidance is clear on this - "Short visits outside the UK on weekends or other non-working days are consistent with the basis of stay and do not break the continuity of leave. You must count such absences towards the 180 day limit. Evidence in the form of a letter from the employer which sets out...

Re: Tier 2 extension dates

Hi there I obtained a Tier 2 General Work visa on the 22 August 2019. However, the start date on my Certificate of Sponsorship was actually for the 12 August 2019 (with 11 August 2022 end date). (took a long time to get it) I am now coming up to having to extend this into a Skilled Work Visa. Which...

The 2 year cohabitation requirement is only for unmarried partners. If you are married you only have to show that the marriage is subsisting, i.e. that you are actually living together (correspondence to both of you at the same address e.g. bills, bank statements, etc). You can include mortgage stat...

Re: Annex 3 - Biometric Biographic and Exception Referral

I just attended my appointment and the same thing happened. They gave me the form and noted a scar on my finger. I doubt it should be an issue though as we can't really do much about a scar. It can't be grounds for refusal. Lots of people cut their hands cooking etc.

Yes, you are right. As you have quoted from the guidance and what's given in the guidance - https://www.gov.uk/indefinite-leave-to-remain-tier-2-t2-skilled-worker-visa/family-members - you can apply for ILR for your son. The 5 year residence requirement won't apply to him. As he got his dependent vi...

Thanks Nightcrawler2u !!! I really appreciate your help for clarifying my doubts on this questions. This was really helpful. .1. Also on IHS form its asking for the My(Sponsor) Visa Expiry Date. And as you stated earlier if Work Start Date is "27-01-2022" and Work End Date is "27-01-2025". Does tha...
