Re: Child born here from South African and Italian parents

Thanks.

Is there any other way for her to apply when she grows up? We don't have any reason to pursue the British citizenship just yet if she will have other windows later on in her life..

Re: EU settlement - Non EU family member - CoA and decision time

Depending on the individual circumstances, you probably only need to scan it through the EU APP ( https://www.gov.uk/guidance/using-the-e ... -check-app ). But if you have to send it in, which i doubt then they send it back with 4 working days, not until the application is decided. Thanks for the h...

Re: EU settlement - Non EU family member - CoA and decision time

I'm non-EU wife of Italian husband. He has applied for the settled status today and received COA. Before I apply for myself and link my application to his, I would like to know for how long they will keep my residence card (to be sent by post to verify my identity) before returning it to me? Will th...

Settled status passport via post

The settled status application states (for non EU applicants):
You’ll get your document back as soon as it has been scanned. This could be before you get your decision.
Does anybody have any experience of that? How long does it take to get the passports back in case of non EU?

Thanks

PR application documents

Hi, I'm (South African) applying via my husband (Italian) for PR for himself and I. We've a few trips planned this year and we both need to have our passports and my residence card handy. The application states that the passports needs to be provided as original. Is there no other way? I remember th...

Re: 2 equivalent ways to apply for PR?

Thanks a lot for the reply.
I felt that I had to ask because considering that you can do it online via the EU spouse I just couldn't imagine the reason why you would want to do it via post and I was afraid to have missed something :)

Thanks again

2 equivalent ways to apply for PR?

I'm a South African citizen married to my Italian husband. I have a residence card that will expire in 2021. In order to apply for British Citizenship I was advised to pursue the Permanent Residence application since we've been married for 9 years and I've been living in UK for over 10 years. Lookin...

Re: British Citizenship application for South African

Sorry, bumping this question up. Any idea if the two options are equivalent or should I definitely go for a specific one with obvious benefits?

Thanks again

Re: British Citizenship application for South African

Thanks again for the prompt reply, really appreciated. Sounds like the PR is the way to go since we meet the requirements you mentioned. Looking at the application on the gov website I'm confused about the way to apply. It says that if the UEE person apply then the application can be done online, an...
