Re: Affidavits for approved applications and next ceremony

Any certificates actually being sent out? Approvals are great, but it seems the final step isn't happening.

Anyone receiving Citizenship certificates since March 2021?

There was a flurry of activity in early March on the board when the Minister sent out approvals for Citizenship. Many of us sent in our Notarized declarations and paid the application fee online. Have you received a citizenship certificate since you sent in your Declaration and paid? I know in the l...

Any 2019 applications being approved?

Applied over a year ago (April 2019.) Got 2d letter, sent some more information. Got a letter in July 2020 saying, "Thanks but don't bother us" (this was e-mail as I had emailed them on occasion in the last year) So, nothing since July. Anyone that had applied in 2019 and *not* approved prior to the...

Re: GNIB Appointments

FWIW once you get your appointment, I can confirm they're turning around GNIB cards in 2 weeks, just picked mine up the other day. This was in Killarney, a smaller office than Dublin :D

Re: Citizenship app processing

I received a letter on 17 June that basically stated they would be in touch if they wanted more materials, and in bold: "It would greatly assist us if you only contact us if it is absolutely necessary as this will allow us to devote the maximum time to the processing of applications." I'm not exactl...

Re: GNIB renewal

There's a way to renew the GNIB online? That's news. How do you provide the passport, did you have to mail it in? I'm always VERY wary of being parted from my passport for very long. To circle back to my original question, is anyone having any success with going to an immigration office with their ...

GNIB renewal

Immigration offices reopen today at 20 July. My local one is closed for renovations (great timing, couldn't have renovated it during the months it was closed despite construction work being essential.) Another one took my message and said they'd call me back. My GNIB is up for renewal next month. An...

Re: Decision from INIS for Irish spouse more than 6 months

Thank you for this information. I'm in the exact same boat, application in based on marriage to citizen and 4 years of Irish residency. Have heard apocryphal stories of this taking 5+ years in some cases. It's "only" been 2 months since I sent in the application and I've yet to get any acknowledgeme...
