Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Sorry if this is a silly question, but is the address confirmation email obviously from the DFA? I've now gone past the 1 year point since I got confirmation of docs received in Dublin and I'm wondering (probably irrationally!) if I didn't spot it and deleted it as spam  It's from FBR clarif...

I noticed the FBR paper application asks for a stamp, business card or headed letter for the appropriate person who will certify true copy etc.
I didn't send any of these, nothing other than them signing the form, witnessing the photos and ID copy, and got approved!

I'm in Toronto, so this doesn't make any sense Definitely call, March 2019 applicants are getting approvals now. I'm ...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Some timelines here helping me patiently wait. I had some concerns with a name variation. The O in O'Connell seemed to be dropped on my grandfather's birth certificate but was re-instated on marriage and death certificates. The O is present on my mothers birth cert too. This caused an uncle to have...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Incidentally, my boss was getting jealous because he thought we applied at the same time, but he just tracked down his email and realised he didn't get his application in until April. I persuaded him to ring up and he learned that the delay has extended again after March, so he now faces a month or...

I'm getting worried and depressed I've not heard anything yet. I'm past the 10 month threshold and it looks like all the other March 2019 applicants have heard something. :(
I haven’t! I’m 25 March still waiting

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

I sent out my application end of July and following my tracking it was received on August 1st 2019 at the embassy in Madrid. Its been 5 months and 22 days since then and I never got a confirmation that they received it. I emailed them a week ago asking about the situation and they replied saying my...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Confirmation of application received and 6 month deadline e-mail 4 June 2019 I would not consider it a deadline. It is an estimate. It all depends on their backlog, how many new applications they are getting and the complexity of checking your application. Hardly matters now.. whatever it was it is...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

In the hope my certificate arrives soon I have started to look at the passport application. It says the witness has to stamp the photo. I work in a hospital so surrounded by suitable people but none of them will have a stamp! What do I do. The Medical Director witnessed my passport copy for the fbr...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Hello all, I discovered this site and decided to register and post my own dates of application for FBR. I sent my application on 21 March from the New York City metro area.
