Re: Applying for NHS bursary

Maths is not that hard just people make it look hard. Every site states that one has to be legally here min 3 yrs without no gap.... That is the minimum residence requirement that applies for those who also meet the other requirements (such as being a British citizen, etc). So, for instance, if you...

Re: Applying for NHS bursary

How long you've lived here doesn't matter, it's what you're entitled to or not that matters. Just to clarify, in this particular case, the length of the residence in the UK does matter. Home Student status and student funding is available for non-UK/EEA citizens who have lived in the UK for more th...

Re: Applying for NHS bursary

Also my understanding is that If it is Student/Maintenance I have to pay it back is not for free. A huge percentage don't pay it back and it is written off, with that loss paid by the taxpayers. Which is why it is said that University's are state funded (paid for by the taxpayers). It's why Boris s...

Re: Applying for NHS bursary

If you are eligible for the Home Student status, then you should be eligible for the Maintenance loan on the same basis. You should state why you are eligible, as most spousal visaholders are not eligible. Thanks. I stated my reasons which are: -Been here half my life. -Got granted stay under 10yrs...

Re: Applying for NHS bursary

Am considered home student with the stay I have been given. Are you sure? I find that surprising that a person on a spousal visa is given Home Student status. What precisely is your status? Is your spouse an EEA citizen on settled status or a refugee, etc? Or are you under 24 have you lived more th...

Re: Sending BRP for driving license

Thanks all, I just wished there was a way I could generate a code online to check if I am the owner of the BRP, similar to the right to work check where I share a code with the employer. DVLA could even grab the photo from the BRP database, they have all my information but still insist on sending m...

Re: Extend Tourist Visa in USA due to COVID-19

Hello! We came to USA on February 02, 2020 with a valid B2-Tourist Visa (10 year visa) with 6 months (180 days) validity for this trip, i.e., valid till August 01, 2020 (or close to that, approximating for ease of asking this question). Unfortunately, India has not opened up its airports for intern...

Re: FLR(FP) Application time

Applications depend by who is handling your case. Some are lucky it comes out quick some delay. I bet it's ready just sitting on someone's table until they decide to release the decision. So dont worry yourself... my application (extension) was straightforward, same day appointment service (submission...
