Re: Eligibility for Stamp 4 Support Letter after Job Loss and Unemployment: Questions on Dates and Criteria

Hey, You're situation is looks uncommon. I know the people who was refused stamp 4 support letter only because they had less than 21 month continues employment. You can try to contact DETE directly to check if your case is applicable to apply for the stamp 4 support letter, or just apply for the let...

Re: Ireland and UK Border Control

Does anyone know if Ireland (ROI) and the UK share immigration information? Say someone travels from Northern Ireland to the mainland UK? Thanks. The information on the routes inside the UK such as (NI-Scotland) is not automatically uploaded to the Home Office entry/exit system. These are the inter...

Re: Citizenship Application Driving on Learner Permit

Hey,

If you not sure about what to disclose, my advice is to request all your records from Garda by filing in GDPR request about yourself.
It will give you full overview of what exactly they have in file about you and what words was officially used about your offenses if any.

Re: Children naturalization application

For those who paid the certificate fees, how long did it take for it to process? How many days till you got the second email to confirm the process? Based on the latest adult certs (with fidelity declaration) it takes up to 8-10 weeks to get the cert, not 6 as promised in the letter, and they didn'...

Is my child eligible for Irish status?
The bad news, that your child could be obligated to get an entry visa back to Ireland from UK, and need any passport for this.
The good news, if you child can't obtain any other citisenship by birth, than can be qualified to have local one.

My E-vetting completed and Garda made disclosure to citizenship in early April 2022. I even have copy of my disclosure. No news since then. :(
How did you obtain the copy of the disclosure?
I believe the FOI to the citizenship department is the possibility to get it.

Re: Speeding ticket after application submission

Thanks. I got the ticket issued by the garda themselves on the day before yesterday. I'm expecting the fine notice from them this week and will pay it. So, it should be there in their records anyway. I will try to get a good character report from my colleagues and send it to ISD. Shall I send it by...

Re: From temporary protection in Ireland to a normal visa

Employer tells me that they can not transition me from a temporary protection to a work permit, because it is not allowed by law. Is it true? The official patch to change the permission is not published or announced, that's true, it does not exist. The ISD stamps/cards registration for the "tempora...

Re: Speeding ticket after application submission

Hey, This is the most difficult and also the very common case. One of the possible solutions/advice is to update the ISD with the "apology letter" and "the good character characteristic from the Ireland colleagues". It can be done by yourself or you can ask an immigration solicitor for help. You can...

Re: Dublin IRP renew timeline please

This is crazy. For many different reasons, people may have their IRP expiry for less than a year. It can be dependent on the family driver's IRP, it can depend on WP dates, it can depend on "stamp 4" letter rules, and it can depend on the passport validity. In some cases, it ever can be only for 1-3...

Re: RIP Oath of Fidelity Affidavit Process

Hey, This comfortable offline citizenship process was clearly described as temporary due to COVID. It was passed Dáil legalization as far as I know, so it wasn't just a Minister's decision based on existing law. I agree that it is more modern and comfortable for many people and reasons. I think the ...

Re: Dublin IRP renew timeline please

Hi,

Is anybody applied for online renewal early than in the last month before the IRP expiry?
As far as I understand the online IRP renewal can be submitted only within the month before the expiry date, isn't it?
Will the renewal processing delay be treated as a registration gap from the next month?
