Re: First time passport application

Thank you! Yes, it changed its status. If I remember correctly, it was something along the lines of the 28th of June that was estimated. I read several posts here re the wait: Give it approx 40 WORKING days as a first time applicant and 15 WORKING days post receiving your passport card (if applied f...

Re: Affidavits for approved applications and next ceremony

Just an update.

I received my certificate of naturalisation today.

Applied in June 2019 and approved in Oct 2020. Sent docs in in early March 2021. Cert was printed in late April 2021.

Many thanks for the support too. :)

I wish everyone the best! Xx

Re: Citizenship approval - Do we post the original GNIB Card?

Hi, I have one simple query. We have submitted the declaration form along with the Physical IRP card. My IRP card is due to expire in 6 weeks and if I don't receive the Naturalization Certificate before the IRP expiry date. Do we need to renew our IRP card again? Thanks a lot "This notice applies t...

Re: First time passport application

A hypothetical scenario (in my case is real) when someone becomes an Irish citizen, but can't get a passport due to current restrictions even if it's emergency (I spoke to an agent on web chat and they confirmed this). Sorry- I don’t mean to sidetrack here but why cant a ‘new’ Irish citizenship ava...

Re: Advice on Ongoing Citizenship Application

Hi All, Need some feedback on the below scenario, whether I should contact the department or not. I have been a resident of Ireland since 2013. I launched my naturalization application as a NON-EU national with STAMP-4 in Jan 2020. In the Residency calculation, I put all my stamps dating from 2013 ...

Thanks.

Re: Affidavits for approved applications and next ceremony

Hi everyone, Just a wee update. Received my approval last October after applying in June 2019. Got an email with a copy of the affidavit yesterday requesting for it to be submitted with the 950 euro, pics, etc. The postscript clearly stated that it is time-sensitive in that those received after the ...

Re: Next Ceremony

Hello there,

Just curious as to how people are going about getting a statutory declaration pledging allegiance to the state going? Did you hear anything back after submitting the IRP/bank draft and photos?

Thanks

Re: Next Ceremony

They already referenced it in the Dail yesterday. And my friend in INIS said we should be getting them in the next 4 weeks hopefully sooner. They basically are just reverting to how they used to send out the certificates before there was these official ceremony so it’s nothing new just the old way ...

Re: citizenship application 2018 what mean this latter ...this is final stage ??

Nope. Letters to keep a lookout for: 1. Acknowledgement letter. 2. Approval letter. 3. Invitation letter Anything else in between is just being processed. Some don’t get a second stage letter and get an approval. Even if its in the second stage or advanced stage, it is still being processed. Differe...

I guess it depends on where you are based? I am in Kildare and rang the Garda Station and they gave me an appointment for 2 weeks later. Good luck!
Indeed.

I got an appointment for the end of Jan 2021 after contacting my local office last month.

Re: INCORRECT STAMP ON MY IRP CARD

Yes, you’d need to contact them about this like the above poster said. I had a stamp 1 given when it should’ve been a stamp 4. Brought it up at my local Garda immigration bureau and the officer re-issued a stamp 4 for 1 year. Didn’t enquire about anything for 2 years. Just accepted it as the norm an...
