Re: Applying for citizenship then moving abroad

I thought it would seem dishonest as my current future intention, in the short term at least is to not be living in the uk. Perhaps I’m mistaken?

I’m basically just being prepared in case life abroad does not work out.

Applying for citizenship then moving abroad

Hello, I plan to apply for BC but then go travelling immediately after it’s granted and quite likely move to NZ (country of birth) with my British partner and British kids, hopefully forever…. But if not forever then I’d like to be able to come back…. Free from the visa chaos of my earlier years in ...

Re: Documents needed : referees?

UPDATE 2: Now seems as though after payment you have the option to download a further check list to provide at the appointment. This has the QR code and another document checklist. If my reading of this is correct, it is here that i truly check the boxes of the evidence i plan to provide. For me thi...

Re: Documents needed : referees?

UPDATE: just in case anyone got confused like me... 1. you need to check all the boxes in the documents section to show you understand the requirements. Even if you do not plan to send them. In my case that meant checking boxes even though i knew i didn't need to supply them i.e. Naric Letter, Degre...

Re: Documents needed : referees?

Thanks CR. RE: the referees, so far have not come across anything that would be signed using the online form, i could check the box to say i completed the referee section (but the form wouldn't let me progress if i hadn't anyway), so to avoid confusion that i am not actually providing documents for ...

Documents needed : referees?

Hello I'm completing the form online now for Citizenship, wouldn't mind some clarity on the documents needed section. Referees : I have entered the referee information in the online form. Do i need to provide any written confirmation from my chosen referees? I have the option to check the box under ...

Re: ILR but NO BRP (oops) shall I apply for citizenship now anyway...

Thank you CR. One last question, my partner is in the exact same situation but in the process of applying for a new job. Do you know if they apply for citzenship, can they use that application reference as evidence of being eligible for working. I'm trying to make sense of this guidance here: https:...

ILR but NO BRP (oops) shall I apply for citizenship now anyway...

Hi all - hoping for some help or ideas on which way forward seems best. I have ILR granted in 2010. The original document is in old passport. I've since found out I need BRP to prove eligibility to work. It seems to take 6 months for a decision, so I figure I might as well apply for citizenship in t...
