Guidance needed to work from India please

Hello Everyone I am a British Citizen with OCI. I wanted to relocate to India and I am checking with my company if I can work from India for a couple of years (~3 years) for personal reasons. My company is a small to medium size US-EU-Japan-Australia based firm. They don't have any presence in India...

Re: Surrender of Indian Passport application is on hold

Hello Just to update. Luckily I received a call from VFS Goswell Office and they clearly didn't see my emails. After explaining all the stuff they agreed to submit the Surrender application to Embassy and within a week time, I received the certificate. Thank you for guiding and helping me with this....

Re: Surrender of Indian Passport application is on hold

Hi @dontringthebell

Just thought to update:

I emailed 'Info.london@mea.gov.in' and still waiting for their response.

Other email address 'hcoffice@mea.gov.in' seems to be incorrect, my email bounced back. I tried calling 02078 369 147 but it goes to voice mail.

Thank you

Surrender of Indian Passport application is on hold

Hello All I submitted "Surrender of Indian Passport application" for my son @ VFS Goswell Road. They have put his application on hold as it was back-dated and suggested filling the form again. I did that and re-submitted but after that, I am not getting any response from them. I am sending emails to...

Re: British Citizenship

If ehr was born in 2017 and you got ilr in 2020, he was not born after you got ilr. Your friend is talking nonsense. Your child born before you got ilr would not have had any claim to apply directly for a British passport as he would not have been British at that time. The only way he became Britis...

Hello Team I was in need of some guidance. 1. My 2nd son was born in UK in 2017. 2. I received my ILR in DEC 2020. 3. After receiving my ILR, I applied for "registration of citizenship" (via MN1) for my child born in UK. I spent around 1000£ for this. 4. I then applied for British passport for my so...

Re: Question about ILR documents

Thank you Zimba for your valuable inputs. Hello CR001, I thought it would better to start a new topic so that it is easier for moderators to answer without confusing them with lot of information. I will make sure, I don't start new topic again unless needed. I regret if it has given impression of as...

Re: Indefinite leave to remain related questions

1. You apply online, submit and pay online within 28 days before the 5th anniversary of your initial visa issue date. Not everyone is getting the super priority option due to no availability. 2. You then get directed to UKCVAS to book your biometric and document check appointment. 3. You then uploa...

Re: Tax issue with ILR application

1) Yes thats the best way to do it. You can go for super priority alone. Given, your dependents have valid visa and must apply before expiry. They can apply after you get ILR with super priority or standard service. Usually dependents get visa very quick even on standard service within a couple wee...
