Re: UKM application experience and timeline

I am really sorry to hear this keh723. It must be extremely stressful - I hope your papers have turned up by now. I received my passport this morning. DHL delivered the passport and documents separately. What a journey it has been. My favorite grey hair is called UKM. Good luck to everyone. You will...

Re: UKM application experience and timeline

Hi there, good news. I received an email and sms on Tuesday, saying my application had been approved, and at 22h44 that same night I got another message, saying it had been printed and was being despatched. DHL then sent an sms on Wednesday saying it would be delivered by 17h00 on 20/8. Needless to ...

Re: Error South African birth certificate

My mum was born in 1928 in South Africa and I submitted her unabridged and vault birth certificates as part of my application. They both showed her parents ages and not their birth dates. My application was successful, so I don’t think this is a problem. Good luck 🍀

And exactly six months since UKVI received my wife’s application for citizenship on February 7th. I’m off for a lie down and a very large brandy....... Well done! And I’m...

Re: UKM application experience and timeline

So interesting reading about our various experiences. I submitted my passport application today. The photos were the difficult part. I went to a photo shop and those photos were rejected! Eventually, one of the photos taken with my phone was accepted. The rest of the application was simple and strai...

Re: UKM application experience and timeline

The British High Commission in Pretoria, South Africa, telephoned me today. They had been trying to contact me via email for over a week but misread the “1” in my email address as a l, so that was the cause of the delay. My citizenship ceremony is on the 24/7 - 12 weeks and 2 days from the date of ...
