Police Report Check required. First job in NHS, On Spouse Visa

Hi All, My husband just came to the country, from Nigeria, on a spouse visa. Now, he has been offered a job in the NHS but to complete his ‘checks’ he needs to provide a Police/Criminal record check before he can finally start working for the trust. How do we go about this when he’s not in Nigeria? ...

Re: Application for spouse outside the UK

Just want to say a big thank you to everyone that has helped with my queries. My husband's visa has been granted. The decision letter was dated 18th September (53WD after biometrics) even though the call centre told me no decision had been made when I called on the 19th! Was probably for the best a...

Re: Posted documents for spouse visa --- need help

Hello Thanks for your reply guys. I did included a return envelope which was already paid and scanned with the ref number so they must have the return envelope. Best of luck Olasim. No need to worry if you have that then they definitely (hopefully) will send it back. As long as you’ve attached copi...

Re: Still waiting for a decision.....

Chapterixx, I would say give it another two days. My husband’s decision letter was actually dated 30/07/19 (so the decision was made 53 working days) but TLS didn’t contact my husband to pick up passport until Monday 05/08/19. We are just worried about the passport. We had the PDF email now 4 days a...

Re: Still waiting for a decision.....

Is the Email/PDF thing a new way of informing people of the status if it has been granted or refused? If so, is this for all countries (spouse application from outside the UK?) or is it specific to only certain countries? Kind regards Hi Chapterixx, Please what do you mean by "Decision 'Success' on ...

Not sure what you believe would be 'unique'. Waiting time for a visa outside the UK has nothing to do with ...

As aforementioned, it would be interesting to find out if there is a spouse extension after one year. There isn't. A Spouse visa is valid for 30 or 33 months. There is no requirement to apply for an extension after 1 year. CR001, I know that. But Casa is asking a question that I believe it’d be int...

That’s ok. Re: Unstamped Bank Statements

Hmmm, these banks are strange. How can one branch say no all of a sudden but the other stamped? I was not able to get stamps on my bank statements because HSBC said it’s against policy and they have said the same to others who have been in the same position. I went to two branches in my area and the...
