Naturalization certificates returned before interview

Hi,

The Passport Office returned passports and naturalization certificates before interview. The note just mentioned "Your passport application is being processed".

Would you please advise if this is normal as I was under impression that the certificate shall stay with them.

thanks

Tried

I tried to call but they cant advise on this at all. Eventually it was my fault. I also sent a request to UKBA by email. Seems I have to book another test with a new book to learn. I looked into it and it is about 50% more material to learn including more history and personalities. But there are no ...

Life in the UK test: second name instead of the first

Dear members, For some reason my Life in the UK test report shows my second name as first one and second name as first one. Would you please suggest if Home Office accept this? Maybe somebody had a similar situation? What is the email address to send a query to UKBA in this regard? Thanks. serggry

Hi,

I am going to send my tier-1 extension application.

Do I need to provide an envelope as it was before or arrange collection by a DHL?

What is the best way? thanks

Hi,

May Tier-1 immigrant participate in Childcare Voucher Scheme?

Is this regarded as recourse to public funds?

Thanks.

Tier 1 extension under new rules

I am shocked. I will have to extend my HSMP-Tier1 visa but it will be difficult to do under new rules (i.e. salary points are to 'expensive'). Will they require me to do this under new points system or will I use the current one? It is not fare to change rules for existing visa holders. I hope peopl...

You should rely on "taxable gross to year"

I think they will except everything you have under "taxable gross to year". Nothing to do with gross or net payment.

Re: Extension Fees and transitional arrangements

Yes. I received it in 2008. And now I am extending it. Dear colleagues, I have a HSMP letter of November 2007. In February 2009 I am going to switch (extend) to Tier 1. I am not sure what fees shall I pay? Will be I entitled for reduced fees under Transitional Arrangements for Applicants in the Unit...

Probably you are right..

Probably, you are right - almost no point in doing this as the accountant shall disclose this info as well. So how would that help you? As you readily admit, your earnings do not include the amount of reimbursed expenses. For the future, and for others, you are not required to claim the expenses ded...

Very interesting discussion

Thanks for all this discussion, I am working under umbrella company and my payslip definetely shows 'reimbursed expenses'. They are excluded from the gross and are not taxed. So formally they cannot be considered by HO as part of gross earnings. The possible wayout was a simple letter from the Umbre...

These are reimbursed expenses

These are reimbursed expenses which decrease my gross earnings.

The actual question is it possible instead of payslip to submit accountant's explanation.

thanks!

Reimbursed expenses

The problem is that the payslips will show some small reimbursed expenses I do not want to show.

Any advice?
John wrote:I can't see how that helps. Indeed it is liable to confuse and cause queries to be raised.

You do get payslips, don't you?

Probably no

No-No. they are happy to issue me those payslips. But I just wonder if it is possible to have all the proofes from the accountant. Any thoughts? Not sure I understand the reason for your question. If your employer is paying you a salary then it is a legal requirement for that employer to issue you w...

When to book an appointment online?

Dear friends,

When it is the best time to book an appointment? When next week slots are open for booking? Is it Monday's morning or Monday's 00:00?

Share your experience? How you were able to book the visit online?

I tried and all the six weeks are busy..

Thanks

HSMP extentions: is it possible to do in Croydon?

Good day,

I am going to extend my HSMP visa (of Feb 2009). Is it possible to do in person, say in Croydon? Their website provides contradicting info.

Thanks,
