I just had the NCS appointment for my wife and the lady took the original 'Life in uk' certificate and gave us the copy. Se said this rule came in to affect around 3 months ago?

is it true? When I did mine last year, they didn't take the original.

My wife's ncs appointment is coming. She went to back home two times ( 100+ days both times) to finish her degree. In the reason field can I write 'To finish study' does this sound good? Or should I write something else such as 'personal' etc?

My point was that she is well within limits and apart form a very short description like holiday/personal/business there is no reason to explain further. Thanks. If she was less than 270 days absent in the last 3 years you don't have to write anything as reason for her absences. She has to have been absent for less than 90 days in the final year.
