Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Things are finally starting to open up in Ireland - received my passport today, which marks the end of my journey after almost two years of waiting - would never have imagined it would take that long when I first applied but grateful nonetheless to be able to apply for citizenship. Really hope every...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

There has been movement on my daughter's application! (From May 2019.) I've received an email asking for updated photos! Does anyone know if they accept electronic photos? Obviously I'll email and ask, but wondered if anyone here knew? We've just got back from Spain (we had to go due to a death in ...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

I'm still a bit far off (8th July acknowledgement of application) but does anyone know if the FBR will post the certificate to somewhere other than the address you wrote on the application form in any circumstances? I am a student with a home address (one I used on the application form) and a studen...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Speculation here but was there potentially a huge increase in applicants in March 2019 fuelled by speculation we were heading for a crash out hard no deal brexit? I noticed it had sped up and then slowed down again as they were processing applicants who'd submitted from March 21st. I'm an early July...
