Re: Working from India for company in UK - is it possible?

InUkOnHsmp and girish19j, I am currently planning to apply for PIO for the whole family, as I am not comfortable with being on the wrong side of the law, which I would be if I work from India on a visit visa. PIO seems to be taking around 4 weeks according to recent timelines posted on the forum, le...

Re: Working from India for company in UK - is it possible?

Thanks for the inputs p2kin. You still are an Indian citizen before naturalisation ceremony.. and hold ILR in UK, so legally you are entitled to work in both the countries (till 2 yrs from the day you left UK before unless you get naturalised before that in UK).. but after ceremony day, you have to ...

Re: Working from India for company in UK - is it possible?

Thanks ban.s.

My real real question is, is it possible (legal) to work from India for a company in the UK for the long term. I will try to get professional advice as well.

I was just hoping someone on the would have some experiences on this.

Wonder if they will also crack down on applicants booking multiple appointments. I personally know some people who have up to 3 "backup" appointments. That i think is an even bigger problem.

Booked PEO for 2 people can 3 attend

Hi Forum, I have booked a SET(O) PEO appointment for myself and wife in the beginning of January. However, we might end up getting ILR for our child as well. Do you think its possible to use the same appointment for all of us, or should I book another appointment for 2 dependents. Knowing how easy i...

Thanks Jambo, will go through the link. Appreciate your response as well.

I have heard that it is very tricky for foreign nationals to start a new business back in India, so we are planning to have one partner as British, and the other as Indian just for that added flexibility.

Wife British, Husband and child Indian

Hi Forum, I have this really unusual case to discuss with you. I am currently on Tier-1 visa, with my wife and child (born in the UK) as dependent. I am about to apply for my and wife's ILR in a months time. Now due to my parents illness I am having to go back to India for 4-5 years, so I am plannin...

Thanks diamella. First hand experience always inspires more confidence.

Also, can my wife enter the uk without me for the first time, if she lands a job earlier and needs to join before I am relieved from my current assignment?

Please guide.

Hi Lion,

Sad to hear about your case. What a quirk of fate, folks find it tough for employers to sponsor their work permit, and when your employer is doing that you are in a jam.

anyways good luck pal.

Got job offer, need some input

Hi Forum, I just got an offer from a consultant for a contract job in UK office of an India based services firm. They want me to join on an urgent basis. Hi Ashik,

You can book accommodation through some free booking sites like venere.com or bookings.com

Then after you get your EC you can cancel this booking, you will not be charged at all.

This would be more straight forward and simpler than submitting your friends documents.

Hi Forum, I got my EC stamped for 2 years yesterday. Along with it came my wife's EC who has applied as my dependant. Now this is my situation, my wifes passport is in her maiden name. Also my name is not present in the spouse section of her passport. Looking at the visa stampings i feel we might ha...
