Re: Entry into UK on Indian passport after Naturalization

I have applied for British passport, which hasn't arrived yet. However I need to travel to India on business on my Indian passport (I am within the 3 months grace period) and I don't see a problem to enter/exit India. However to renter into UK, will my Indian passport+ILR be sufficient to get throu...

Applying for UK passport while working abroad

The problem is that I work abroad, and I see that I have to surrender my current passport in order to apply for my UK passport. Normally I go back and forth from my country of ...

1. 6.4 when did you last enter UK? I entered Uk in June 2004 on student visa and i switched to Tier 1 general in Apr 2009.. This refers to the most recent time you literally entered the UK. Have you left the UK since you came here in June 2004 (e.g. on a holiday)? If so put the date of your most re...

Re: Help filling SET (O) form

I was wondering about this question - is calculating an average the common way to answer it? I am an employee, not self employed but I did get different salaries each month in the past year for various reasons (different amount of overtime, changed jobs, got a raise). I thought I'd mention the last...

Re: Help filling SET (O) form

Ideally , The income that you are going to declare to HO should be in sync with HMRC . If it results in more documentation so be it . I don't know that I agree with this. There is no requirement that you declare all of your income, only enough to meet your relevant income threshold. So long as you'...

Re: ILR success @ Croydon 25/2/2014 - Tier 1 (General)

It would be very helpful if you could post the template of your absence letter regarding to SE if you have any. I have one trip in abroad for five weeks related to my SE work. My Client has already provided me a letter regarding this, - however, in the UKBA website it says that SE person has to pro...

Referees renewing passports

Re: ILR success @ Croydon 25/2/2014 - Tier 1 (General)

I have a question regarding absence during unemployment. My initial entry was on 25th April 2009 and got a job in July. But during the initial period I had travelled outside the UK during my initial stay when I was unemployed for 4 weeks (23rd May 2009 - 20 Jun 2009). I travelled outside the UK for...

ILR success @ Croydon 25/2/2014 - Tier 1 (General)

I had my PEO appointment at Croydon today for ILR on the basis of 5 years on Tier 1 (General) and I am pleased to report that my application was successful. I am incredibly grateful for all of the advice I have received on here over the past 7 years; it has been invaluable to me. I wanted to post my...

Re: Online Pay Slips Query--- Urgent

I don't know if this varies depending on the visa category (I don't see yours mentioned), but at least for Tier 1 (General) the guidance clearly specifies that payslips must be "original & formal" (i.e. not electronic), and if they are electronic, they must be accompanied by an employer letter confi...

Re: Advisor has lost all documents

From what you describe it potentially sounds as if the advisor is withholding your documents until you pay ("said we hadn't signed anything with him like a client contract"). Either way, it may be worth putting more pressure on the advisor directly, informing him of your intent to make a complaint. ...

I am applying for ILR soon and plan to apply for naturalisation as the spouse of a BC immediately after. Evidence of payment of Class 2 National Insurance (NICs)

Hi everyone, I am applying for ILR next month with both self-employed (SE) and employed earnings (Tier 1 General). I only recently surpassed the income threshold for paying Class 2 National Insurance Contributions (NICs) on my self-employed income. I thus recently cancelled my small-earnings exempti...
