Re: Do I need to do anything about my Settled Status after becoming British?

Got you, thank you for confirming! I thought of double-checking as I found it strange how BRP cards need to be destroyed, sent back, etc. but I can still have access to this page showing my "immigration status", even if I don't have one. I'm not going to do anything with it of course, just wanted to...

Do I need to do anything about my Settled Status after becoming British?

I thought that after becoming British they'd lapse my immigration status (settled status) but even after a long time now, the settled status page shows my details.

Do I need to do anything to tell them that I'm British or it doesn't matter that I hold Settled Status too?

Re: Advice on filling form AN for naturalisation

Employment is not a requirement for naturalisation, just declare periods of unemployment as applicable - you don't have to justify that. Where dates are asked for and you don't have it precisely use the nearest estimate - month/year is ok. Doesn't this contradict the capacity which you're in the UK...

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

Does CSI apply only to periods within the UK? Yes. And only if the EEA citizen was exercising treaty rights as a student or as a self-sufficient person. If the EEA citizen was employed/self-employed/job-seeking while in the UK, then there is no need to prove CSI for those periods. Thank you Simon. ...

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

Does anyone know what is the guidance for period of absences from the UK? With EUSS there is this exception for an absence of "up to 12 months for an important reason, such as work or study". If we have been abroad during this period (e.g. in our home country), but within the 450 days of allowance i...

Re: Calculation of time in the UK

Ah thank you for clarifying. I find it a bit unfortunate that "date of entry" is mentioned nowhere in the EU settlement scheme page but that clarifies things up. And would you mind if I asked you when you think I should apply? Another thing I was reading is that when you provide evidence, it's evide...

Calculation of time in the UK

Hi, I have a similar thread open about BC, but I would like to ask a question for the EU settlement scheme because I was given multiple conflicting advice. My situation is as such: - Date of first entry in the UK: June 2015 - Absence from the UK for important reason: August 2016 - May 2017 - Date of...

Re: Absences count: are trips to the UK included?

I don't plan to apply till next August and the dates I gave was just as an example, so I think I'm fine with the 12 month absences restriction. I'm waiting to get my settled status application granted. Likely going to be this week. But even for citizenship, it is required to give evidence of residen...

Re: Absences count: are trips to the UK included?

Thank you very much indeed for your answer. Is there any documentation confirming that? My concern is mostly the fact that for that week, I can't really claim I was a resident in the UK, I was mainly visiting. I can prove I was here of course but not with the intention to stay longer. I'm okay with ...

Absences count: are trips to the UK included?

Hi, I am new here, so apologies if I'm posting in the wrong place. I would like to pose a question with respect to the naturalisation application absences list. I have a period of 11 month which I was absent from the UK, which of course I am planning to disclose as part of my application. However, I...
