Re: Child Passport Renewal

I would start by sending only documents requested when you do application. If they will need additional documents, they will ask for them (they will send a letter about it). In our case they asked for child birth certificate (which was not on the initial list of documents when we applied), but not ...

Child Passport Renewal

Hi all, Hope you are all well. I am trying to renew my daughter's British passport online. She got her British Citizenship through Registration and her first British passport nearly 5 years ago, and now it's time to renew. I just wonder what I need to send to the passport office as supporting docume...

Re: Keep ILR after 2 years out of UK

You need a Returning Resident visa to come back to live in the UK if you were previously settled (given ‘indefinite leave to enter or remain’) and you’ve been away for more than 2 years. Thanks Simon. Once she got the returning resident visa, is her ILR still valid? or the returning resident visa w...

Keep ILR after 2 years out of UK

Hi Guru, A friend of mine has got ILR in 2015. Nearly two years ago, due to health reasons, she had to go back to her own country for treatment. The treatment has been kept going for nearly two years and she has not been able to travel. As we know, usually one could lose ILR if he/she is away from t...

Re: Life In The UK

Sorry, you are indeed, long day  No worries at all :D :D I returned my BRP card today (attended ceremony a few days ago). After that, I was looking at the AN guide and the ceremony invitation letter. It says that, we need to return the BRP card after received the certificate of British Citize...

Re: Life In The UK

Hi Guru, I think that's the case, but just double check. Does the certificate of British Citizenship mean the Certificate of Naturalisation? So once received the Certificate of Naturalisation in the ceremony, we need to return our ILR BRP card to the Home Office? Thanks. I just want to make sure th...

British Passport Application

Hi all, I am applying for my first British passport, and have one question not quite sure. For the supporting document, apart from the naturalization certificate, the guidance also asks to provide the passport that you used to come into the UK and any foreign passport you hold or are included on . M...

Re: Life In The UK

One more questions. Just saw from another topic that, for the Applicant's proof of freedom from immigration time restrictions, the applicant submitted both a HO letter and BRP. We only submitted BRP, so just wonder if BRP only is good enough. The letter from HO is very general and it doesn't even ha...

For the 2) Applicant's proof of freedom from immigration time restrictions, is BRP good enough? The letter from HO is very general and it doesn't even have our names on. Any clarification please?
Please continue your questions in your own topic you already have.
Sorry, sure.

Re: Life In The UK

They just checked and scanned our current passports. Is that all? They don't check any other original copies at all? Its normal. We don't need to post anything to any place? No. Seems easier than previous VISA applications. You are not applying for a 'visa' now. The whole system changed in November...

We attended the UKVCAS appointment at Croydon this morning. It was quick. They just checked and scanned our current passports. Is that all? They don't check any other original copies at all? We don't need to post anything to any place? Seems easier than previous VISA applications.

PhD student is still a student and subject to student visa conditions. It is not working. The PhD bursary is not subject to tax or national insurance. You have made the correct decision not to include it as part of the work history.
