Re: Court rules "continuous residence" means you CANNOT LEAVE IRELAND AT ALL for year before application

So not sure if others know something we don't or if this is just everyone's best guess - but if I am looking at the trends of booking at Killarney hotels I would say most people are putting their money on Friday the 20th of Dec for the ceremony - as its currently becoming challenging to book for any...

Re: Court rules "continuous residence" means you CANNOT LEAVE IRELAND AT ALL for year before application

Just incase anyone is under the misapprehension this would be a small ceremony. I believe there are like 2000 of us who have been given final approval, handed in our GNIBs and have literally only been awaiting the ceramony for awhile. Since before the whole drama started. I say this only to allay an...

Re: Court rules "continuous residence" means you CANNOT LEAVE IRELAND AT ALL for year before application

Hurrah! :D Now holding thumbs for a December ceremony. I've been without a GNIB,like many, for a really long time and this has been pretty anxiety inducing for many. I genuinely hope for all our sake this gets the ball rolling again and we dont get bogged down in further shenanigans. Now I suppose t...

Re: Court rules "continuous residence" means you CANNOT LEAVE IRELAND AT ALL for year before application

So,I'm a little lost. Where does this all leave us now? With no official updates, no word on when processing will start again. No concrete idea which steps follow (ratification of new legislation or an appeal of the original decision). I mean, am I missing something or is there just no indication of...

Re: Court rules "continuous residence" means you CANNOT LEAVE IRELAND AT ALL for year before application

I am sure some must be trolling on this thread because the infamous prison comment is an obvious use of hyperbole to express frustration. I think some calm, legal and peaceful protests are an excellent way to draw attention to the issue which is growing exceedingly hopeless, might even draw some att...

For anyones future use - yes claiming benefits does affect your application negatively.

Re: September Citizenship Ceremony 2019

So, does anyone have a best guess based on something solid for A. Where the next ceremony will be (I mean they have been held in other locations too) and B. When?

Or do we just wait for an invitation and see at this point?

Re: September Citizenship Ceremony 2019

Hi guys, So I received my letter to say the "minister intends to grant your" to which of course I promptly responded with everything they needed and paid (within 2 days). I also had this sent via registered post and have several emails confirming the photos and payment was received. However since th...
