Re: Court rules "continuous residence" means you CANNOT LEAVE IRELAND AT ALL for year before application

September’s aborted ceremony was scheduled for Friday 30th. Which puts Friday 20th December in play (kiboshing multiple Christmas do’s but otherwise doable). I agree though, if December is to happen letters must issue this week. September 30th was a Monday. The ceremony that was cancelled was suppo...

Re: Court rules "continuous residence" means you CANNOT LEAVE IRELAND AT ALL for year before application

"I have now asked my officials to do everything possible to organise a Citizenship Ceremony to take place in December." Small or big, I would like to be optimistic and wish for the ceremony to take place in December. However, if my calculations are correct, I don't know if this will actually happen....

Dáil Éireann Schedule

Dáil Éireann resumes on Tuesday 5 Nov at 2pm.

So I think there is no chance of ceremony in Nov.

If the court verdict announce in early Nov and new law pass in mid Nov then there is a hope that we will get ceremony in Dec.
Hello, any news? Thank you.

Re: Court rules "continuous residence" means you CANNOT LEAVE IRELAND AT ALL for year before application

So let’s arrange a massive demonstrations in front of INIS and high court to show them who make a decision that we are not alone, let’s show them that we are standing together. Otherwise no one will come to our homes and no one gonna help us . Spread out the information that we are gonna gather in ...

Re: Court rules "continuous residence" means you CANNOT LEAVE IRELAND AT ALL for year before application

I read on the news that also the ceremony in December has been cancelled.
There are 20,000+ applications in standby.
Does anybody feel like participating on a strike or a demostration?

Re: Court rules "continuous residence" means you CANNOT LEAVE IRELAND AT ALL for year before application

Sorry for being boring and annoying...
For those who are just waiting for letter of ceremony, when is the next date for a possible and hopeful update? Or there is no date at all, we keep just waiting?
Thank you.

Re: Court rules "continuous residence" means you CANNOT LEAVE IRELAND AT ALL for year before application

Thank you for all your updates.
Are we in a complete limbo for an undefinite amount of time or is there a next date for a possible update on the matter? Especially for those ones just waiting for the ceremony.
Thank you.

Re: September Citizenship Ceremony 2019

They found the perfect reason to delay everything. They have over 15000 applications pending. Most 2019 applicants haven’t even received a application number so they can slow down on people calling or emailing about their application I just pray that they get it together. People are left in limbo b...

Re: September Citizenship Ceremony 2019

So, does anyone have a best guess based on something solid for A. Where the next ceremony will be (I mean they have been held in other locations too) and B. When? Or do we just wait for an invitation and see at this point? It depends on how long it takes for the new bill to become law. On the Dail ...

But it would be useful for other members to know how long your application took. No problem. I applied in December 2018. The application was appro...

Re: September Citizenship Ceremony 2019

My application was accepted in June, next step is the Ceremony. Still waiting for the invitation letter. I enquired a few times both with Inis and with the Immigrant Council of Ireland. I basically had the same answers that you guys got. In the meantime, I decided to book accommodation in Killarney ...
