Hi guys. I recieved a letter from the justice saying that i need a sworn affidavit from my partner. What does that mean? Does my partner need to write it or type it in the computer? Do we need a solicitor for this?

My friend is having a child this spring. She's bothered because she doesn't have ppsn for she is illegal here in ireland. And PPSN is a requirement for birth registration. The father is a british citizen. But i heard that once the baby is born it is entitled to be an Irish citizen because of the father.
