UKVI Account

I applied for my spouse FLR-M in a visa office (went to biometric appointment). I have been trying to login into my UKVI account but it is not recognizing my passport or BRP. Now I get it, it seems that I don't have a UKVI account because I did not use the app. My questions after unable to find an a...

Re: Spouse visa to ILR

Hi We read in the past the asking the APP is only for people who use regular services, not any priority or anything. We also read that UKVI officer will not see your application until you go for the biometric. So how can she manage the two issues above? She is planning to use the super priority (if ...

Spouse visa to ILR

Hello, a question on behalf of friend: - spouse of UK citizen - almost 5 years in UK, ready for ILR - complications with passport Question: does she need passport and BRP card for biometric appointment? OR BRP card only will suffice? I also checked HO website for her and I think she does not need an...

DVLA question

Hello all, I am trying to get my provisional DL, and I am asked to send my passport or BRP card. Does anyone know of other way to confirm identity? I am reluctant to send original documents as I travel frequently and no guarantee from DVLA on the returning timing of original documents. Does anyone k...

Re: Life in UK Test

Dear all
Thanks for all your help and advice, I was able to pass the test on my second attempt. And yes, you can book multiple tests to accommodate availablity, but make sure you cancel 3 days before if you want a refund.

Cheers

Re: Life in UK Test

2 questions please: 1- I decided to take the test in another city. I live in Wales and I am going on a trip to London. I found so many convenient times and locations. Will it matter if I take it in. place other than where I live? (i.e. Scotland, Wales, England..!!). I already made the test booking a...

Re: Life in UK Test

Thanks for all the replies. I can't remember if I shared my first experience here. I took the first test in an official centre. The people were professional but the experience I felt was humiliating, least to say. It started by taking my head temperature (fine, let it go). Then they won't touch anyt...

Life in UK Test

Hello I’m hearing that the test might change soon. My next step application is in two years but I want to get it done so I don’t have to worry about it. 1) Do you recommend doing it now and do we know if there will be a transition period? 2) Also what is a good study guide. I went to the official we...

Re: BRP Collection

Thanks,, Just a few questions about he future.. - Indeed the expiry date was shortened to 31/12/2024 although the communicated approved date is later than that. Note sure what will happen then. - for ILR, is the requirement the same? i.e. documents showing cohabitation, salary and/or cash savings, e...

BRP Collection

after a couple of failed delivery, TNT advised to pick it from the deport, which is a better choice for me. However, they advised to come tomorrow between 5 and 7 PM. Does anyone know if I can pick it up today instead? Will that be OK, off course they said NO on the phone the earliest is tomorrow. T...

Re: Extending While Traveling

I attended the bio this morning at 9, still waiting. SPV

Just wondering, do they actually call the bank or council to check on us? I know they have the right and I know I gave them consent, but do they actually call to verify?

Re: Extending While Traveling

I am back in the UK and all is fine. I was able to order SPV, but the problem now is no appointments until after 2 weeks at least, that defeats the purpose of paying extra for decision.. Does UKVCAS release new appoints for the coming days or only at the end of 28-day period. There seems nothing ava...

Not sure if I can suggest, or answering is only limited to senior admin of the boards. Please excuse..

But I would suggest since the last continuous living the UK.

Why was the application rejected?

Extending While Traveling

The best time for me to apply for FLR-M is now. I’m I’m outside UK now. Can I apply, pay, book appointment while outside and then attend the biometric appointment when I return. The reason I’m asking is I read somewhere that if I leave while waiting on decision is considered abandoning application. ...

When do I actually need to take the Life in UK Test?

Before my 1st extension? Or before ILR?

I’m on my first 2.5 year on spouse visa.
