Re: Change of Employment Irish citizenship application

You do not have to do anything, unless they write to ask of something about your employment then you can furnish them with evidence of your new venture. At stage 2, they're going to check your background with garda database and other agencies to ensure you are a person of good character. Just chill ...

Re: Post Submission Residency

The reckonable residence is up to when you sign the declaration. You can travel and return as long as you still live in the state and your pocket can afford. If you’re going to have to prove any residency after the application, it’s going to be up to when you declared your application Hope this helps

Re: Next citizenship ceremonies will be in Spring 2020

You only need the re-entry if you are from a visa required country. Fortunately, USA and Canada are not. This issue has been going on for far too long. Why does the department not let applicants send only copies of their IRP card with the €950 payments plus pictures and only hand in the card on the ...

Re: Non EEA Naturalisation - Application query

Just state and explain it. It won’t impact on the application. You can use the letter sent to you from the road safety authority stating that your points has now been removed as evidence of payment because it also states that you paid the fine. Please make sure you send only certified copies of such...

Re: Should I Disclose This?

It’s a tricky one. If you disclose, then you should explain the incident and the outcome, include receipts of payment of fines, etc. However, if you don’t disclose and it’s found on their database, then you tried to hide it. It will affect your character Anyway, as you didn’t receive any further cor...

Re: Waiting on invitation for the citizenship ceremony and separation

If you have fallen out with your partner, it’s not a news. It happens every hour. You don’t even need to tell us here on this board, let alone the department because they have lots of applications to approve.

Chill out and take good care of your children

Re: What if I can't pay when they ask for the €950?

Congratulations !! But if I were you, I would put all pride aside and borrow from even the devil to sort this out because: 1. There’s an upcoming election and anything can happen. There can be change of government or minister, with different policies 2. No one knows when the next ceremony is going t...

Re: Next citizenship ceremonies will be in Spring 2020

That letter is an offer to grant (Aprove) your application for naturalisation certificates. You accept that offer when you send out the draft payment, along with your IRP card and photos. On the letter, your next letter to be received from them would an invitation to attend the citizenship ceremony ...

Re: 2010 student scheme

The scheme was opened from 15th October 2018 to 20th January 2019. It could only be applied online but unfortunately, the online application portal is closed now. INIS do not accept applications on hard copies so I doubt any solicitor could help. You missed that wonderful opportunity

Re: Asking for days absent for naturalisation (again)

The letter requesting the documents would specify the exact period. I think you should stick to that timeframe and submit what they want. Supplying anything else may lead to more documents or explanations being requested
