There seems to be a new guidance to the council today. Home Office will start sending out citizenship certificates.

Re: Citizenship Ceremony cancelled due to Covid-19

A very annoying this has happened to me. On the 27th of May, I received an email from a case worker saying that my citizenship application has been successful and with it was an approval attachment. Today I received another email from a different caseworker with another approval attached. However, t...

Re: Citizenship Ceremony cancelled due to Covid-19

This is an absolute lie. I have reached all levels from my council to mp. I have been told that the ceremonies have been suspended by the Home Office and not the councils. My councillor has passed this on to her colleagues at Westminister who will question it. They can open the pubs and the beer gar...

Re: Citizenship Ceremony cancelled due to Covid-19

North Lanarkahire is my council too. I have already contacted the council, map, mp and the first minister but unfortunately there has been no progress. I have been told the suspension is from Home Office and the council cannot conduct any ceremony until the home office approves it as this is connect...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

Hi Ace1983 Congrats, it means you will get your approval letter in next two weeks. Can you please share your timeline and also how long you had to wait to get a reply from FMT email? I applied on 4th of Feb 2020 and completed my biometrics on the 8th of Feb. I sent an email on the 16th of Mar and g...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

Hi All,

I wonder if someone experienced enough can help me?

I received an email from nationality fmt which states the following:

You will be contacted by post within 21 working days.

Is there any specific meaning to this response from the naturalisation team or is it generic?
