Re: ICT TIER 2 Or TIER 2 GENERAL

Thanks for your response. My employer is tier 2 General sponsor in UK. My question is - Do I need to join in UK under Tier 2 ICT or I can join in Tier 2 General.? Thanks. I would highly, HIGHLY recommend pushing your company to do a Tier 2 General if possible. I myself was sponsored on a Tier 2 Gen...

Re: Coronavirus - exceed 90 day limit?

You have to make a choice here. If you think you will get better care in the US and/or your risks are lower, just take next flight to the US. Your health is more important than any application. You have an ILR anyway. So if you end up staying more than 90 days, wait 9 months to reset that counter a...

Re: Coronavirus - exceed 90 day limit?

No. Exceptional circumstances are things that are totally out of your control. Personal decisions for travel are not exceptional circumstances unless you end up in a situation that you cannot travel at all or get stuck somewhere Thank you for your answer Zimba. I actually ended up staying in the UK...

Coronavirus - exceed 90 day limit?

Hello everyone, I just received my ILR in October 2019. I am planning on going for the passport / citizenship later this year, but understand you cannot have been out of the UK for 90 during the year before applying for the passport. I'm a US citizen with all of my family in the US, I am single/alon...

Re: UKVCAS Super Priority Service

I’m more than impressed by the super priority service! Being a user of the forum, I would like to make some contribution as well. Below is my case and hope it will be useful for the applicants: ILR Route : tier 2 to ILR Online form submission and payment: 17/10/2019 Biometrics intake appointment - ...

Re: UKVCAS Super Priority Service

Hi all! I think I might have set a record time for ILR review... my appointment was at 9am today, I was out the door by 9:12am and I just got my 'application successful' email at 11:58am !! Honesty I was losing sleep over this with the Brexit mayhem and uncertainty over the priority appointment avai...

Re: UKVCAS Super Priority Service

Thanks lhrflyer. Yes, agree - no idea why the site has only the passport listed as “mandatory” - mind you, it’s not only the SS site that does that. When I submitted my application both the form and checklist stated only my passport as mandatory. Of course I uploaded everything else but it’s strange...

Thanks, I'll leave them in colour then. I keep seeing people talking about including original passport photos - I never saw anything about needing passport photos for Tier 2 to ILR...?

Re: Applying ILR Online before the 28 days

1.Whether you write the actual entry date or you write the visa issue date- it will not have any adverse affect. As you were already in the country the only logical answer can be the actual date of entry. 2. No. ILR is based on 5 years continuous residence counting backwards. Only ur absences durin...

Re: HSBC bank statements for ILR application not showing latest month's salary

Hi venerax88 Congrats on your successful ILR journey! I too have a priority appointment on Tuesday at 9am at Croydon. One question I had is I already spent a considerable amount of time making colour copies of my passport pages (every single page like you, including the blank ones). I'm worried that...

Re: UKVCAS Super Priority Service

Thank you. I will include a copy of my register as well. I just scanned all 50+ pages of my passport and compiled the pages into one doc. I just realized now that the UKVCAS site asks for black and white to reduce the file size. My files are already well under the 6MB limit - will this be OK, or can...

Re: UKVCAS Super Priority Service

Hi all, Thought I'd share the current availability for priority appointments if you're based in London (though it showed me options as far as Birmingham). I applied yesterday just after midnight and was able to see the super priority option right away. It wasn't until after paying that I could actua...

Re: UKVCAS Super Priority Service

Hi don’t worry that just a payment date from worldpay. If you download the application form going back into your account it will show the correct date of 17th. Jonu25, you have absolutely saved my mental sanity. I spent over an hour on panicked calls to the Home Office who advised me to include a c...

Re: UKVCAS Super Priority Service

Hi guys, I'm really worried here. After days of panic over whether or not I'd be able to see the Super Priority option, I waited till midnight on the day I'm eligible to apply 28 days beforehand (October 17th). At midnight, I took a screenshot of the declaration page. I then hit continue and was imm...

Re: Applying ILR Online before the 28 days

A million thanks again. I will put the Sept 2013 date as that's what logically makes sense.. Now the mystery question I didn't anticipate I'd have trouble with - entering the Life in the UK "unique reference number." I took the test last week - the only number really on the certificate is called "te...

I agree with ur logic. You can answer it as you deem fit. People have answered No and been approved. Said Yes and also been approved. Consensus is to say yes. Thanks again aman90. As predicted... Thanks again aman90. One final one (hopefully) before the big submit.. I was born in the US, so I suppose the correct answer is 'yes' - it's odd to put "the dat...

Re: Applying ILR Online before the 28 days

Thanks!! I hope I get to see her too. I'm one of those weird people who actually entered the UK a couple weeks before the grant of my first visa (Tier 4 general student). Since the year on the student visa doesn't count, and because I was already in the UK when I got my first Tier 2, I'm just counti...
