Re: General discussion on naturalization applications

i had a 16 digit UAN and applied in May, 2021. did not receive any email notification about the approval. so this theory is debunked that if you have a 16 digit application no. you get email about the outcome of the application.

they posted a letter to me asking to book a ceremony.

Re: UKVI survey email during naturalisation application

i would definitely resist resorting to lying to get an update on the application. i forwarded them the survey email hence got the reply.
they can also see from the system if a survey email was sent out so this might go against you in terms of being of a good character.

Re: Citizenship ceremony and Passport application outside UK

if you apply for your first adult passport abroad, HMPO will notify the home office and there might be a potential review of your naturalisation application.
This is to review if you intend to make UK your permanent home - a condition of naturalisation.

Re: non-EEA family member permanent residence application

Status under uk immigration and eu regulations can run concurrently so even though i was on tier 2 at the same time my eu family member was exercising treaty rights and we were co habiting as unmarried partners. Would i not be an extended family members for this 2 year period before our marriage?
