when I applied for settled status last year. I had applied using my eea biometric card...my visa was not in my passport

anyways 10 years is long time and i plan to apply for citizenship

oh well my BRC is valid now for the next 10 years as I have settled status (indefinate leave to remain)

and so I had to send my new card to them to be updated so I am glad they returned it

FINAL UPDATE January 9th..applied to change my card from eea2 to eu settlement scheme January 22nd..did biometrics February 26th...received letter from home office telling me to expect my biometric card February 28th ..received my biometric card March 2nd...returned my old biometric card to home off...

I received home office letter on the 28th feb ( letter was dated 26th feb)

and my brc card came on 29th feb

since i used my old brc card to apply..i have sent my old card to the address u just wrote and i have also sent my new card to the home office last week thursday to be updated.

I did have that issue with my biometric card in 2018
After home office said i will receive my residence within 10 days

It came after a month to be honest..instead of me receiving in April. It came in May..thank God my travels were in July

Yes u are right...I did call the EU settlement scheme. They say it takes 2 weeks and it will be sent back to me by royal mail second class signed for.

Yes because I have a new BRC card I have to send it back to be updated. Fbiboy2002 did it and he got his back.
