Re: Clawback of visa costs

I'm not sure your travel insurance will cover you for not leaving because you might be unable to legally return, why would it? Travel insurance is for unexpected things like the company you booked with going bust, or you break a leg and can't fly. Why are you insistent on staying in the UK until yo...

Re: Clawback of visa costs

Absolutely not, I’ll try and see if I can sort this out via travel insurance. Thanks everyone for your replies.

Re: Clawback of visa costs

Thanks CR001, you guys have been very helpful. Just a final question - as I have a holiday booked already (beginning of March) Is it possible to leave and re-enter the country before receiving the letter of curtailment? Or will I face any further questions at immigration?

Re: Clawback of visa costs

Thank you both for your replies, it’s much appreciated. I have received the final clawback figure today, and according to the contract the amount has been reduced by 50% (rather than being pro-rata’d) as I have been with the company for more than a year (the amount is reduced to nil after 2 years). ...

Re: Clawback of visa costs

The wording in the contract is as follows: ‘ To confirm, the full cost of the associated legal fees, Immigrational Heath surcharge fees, Home Office application fee and any other associated costs for priority services will be reclaimed. The amount wil...

Clawback of visa costs

Hi All, Hope you’re well. I currently have been let go from my current employer, and they are clawing back hefty legal fees and home office fees from me (including COS, IHS fees, UKVI fees and solicitors fees). Unfortunately, I had agreed to the claw back but I did not forsee getting terminated with...

Re: student visa extension due to dissertation reassessment

Hi anchshubh, Hope you have solved your situation as I understand it gets stressful. I have read in your thread that the home office only gave you two months additional to the end of your course, when you applied for leave as as student did you receive an application outcome stating the end date of ...

Re: Start Up vs new Graduate Route

That is an interesting thought, but I believe that has its limitations. for eg. the graduate route is only valid for 2-3 years. If the person wishes to extend his visa while doing a business they'd have to transfer a different kind of visa. If they'd chose a startup/innovator visa they'd need to get...

Innovator Teams Query

Hello everyone, I have a query, I am sorry if it has already been asked, if so I'd appreciate if I could be pointed towards it. As I understand the Innovator Route if it has multiple team members each one should have a separate 50k funding. For example a team has two members where one is a British C...

Re: Continuous Residence on Tier 2 after Tier 4

Hi, Sorry for being a bit unclear about the point I was getting across. The job I am offered is of a Financial Adviser which is an RQF level 6 occupation. I do not want to work long term for this firm as I wish to explore other opportunities in bigger firms. I plan to complete my ACCA to add to my p...

Re: Continuous Residence on Tier 2 after Tier 4

Hi CR001, Thank you very much for clarifying, and I really appreciate your response. I have another query if you don't mind answering. I was planning on completing ACCA while on the job, but I do have an offer from a university to study full time. If I take up the course, although it is not a bachel...

Continuous Residence on Tier 2 after Tier 4

Hi, I have a current job offer with a company which is willing to sponsor for a role and are taking the advantage of the fact that I do not require a RMLT as I am recent UK university graduate. I wanted to ask if I chose to switch jobs after a year will I require the RMLT or will it count as continu...

2nd Job and Start-up Visa

Hi, I wanted to know what sort of jobs(full time or part time) can you under take under the startup visa route. I have gone through the policy guidance quite extensively but I have not found a clear answer on this. The only information i found was on the website of gov.uk stating that "work in anoth...
