Re: Regarding Early British Citizenship Application

So I’m stuck, becoming a British citizen would remove the visa issue and allow me to continue with my course and complete my training as planned. As commented by others, being a British citizen will not make your situation very different. The US consular officers will scrutinise your application in ...

Re: ILR (Skilled Worker 5-year route) – Employer letter: HR or line manager? Any template?

• Apart from my employer letter, what kind of evidence should I provide to show the reasons for my absences (holiday or family visits)? The only document you need is the letter from the current employer stating that you're required to work for them for the foreseeable future. You don't need a ...

Re: Naturalisation application 6 months plus - how long have you been waiting?

Having a past arrest doesn't necessarily mean that the naturalisation application will be refused. Some users here have reported being granted citizenship even after serving time in prison (unconfirmed testimonies though). I suggest following the steps mentioned in the link above and request some ...

2. This is the correct answer, no specific evidence is required.

The continuous residence guidance has this provision.

That's the correct procedure to cancel an application.

The status on the account online may take some time to be updated, that's not an issue.

Re: Does the referee need to be living in the U.K.

Sings everyone going through this process is required to provide their passport copies, am I right to understand, from your judgement, that no further documents are needed whatsoever to prove the continuous residency in the last five years? That's correct, no further documents are required. If your ...

Re: Does the referee need to be living in the U.K.

You don't need any P60s, P45s etc to apply for citizenship! If you're employed full time, the same form will ask for some details of your employer and that's all. These details are usually on the payslips and you input this information manually on the application, no need to submit anything else ...

Re: British Naturalizaton-Application Queries

I don't think that would be an issue either. The Home Office will normally use an official document such as a passport to confirm the name.

On a side note, I would suggest to correct the name on the degree certificate to avoid any future headaches.

Re: British Naturalizaton-Application Queries

1) That should not be an issue. The same happened to me and my application proceeded.

2) This question is confusing, is this related to your spouses' citizenship application? The full name on the application must match the information on the passport of the applicant.

Re: Skilled Dependent visa extension

Your current visa is skilled worker/skilled worker dependant, once you switched the ICT visas are no longer valid.

When paying IHS for part of a year this is charged as half the yearly cost, you cannot pay 2.1 years etc. See: https://www.gov.uk/healthcare-immigrati ... w-much-pay

It doesn't matter if the biometrics are provided after. 3. You all can submit the application for extension together with the information already ...

Re: British Citizenship application

That's not an issue, councils often don't use our full names to send or confirm ceremony dates.

You need to check that your full name in the naturalisation certificate is exactly as in your passport.

They will be eligible for ILR on 10 December 2020 + 5 years - 28 days. You just need to ensure that a decision on the application is made within that timeframe. The date of application is less relevant. You already were advised on this and you even made a plan. No need to ask the AI about something ...

Re: what to do if the sponsoring company is closing after i became eligible to apply for ILR in skilled worker visa rout

I don't think i will have time till my visa expiry. After 30th Sep 2025, my company will inform home office to cancel my CoS and home office will send me a notice once the CoS is cancelled. I believe I will have 2 months after that. So, roughly till Mid-Dec 2025 which is still okay. Anyway I have ...

That gives you some time to find a new employer with a sponsor's licence. I would start now.

I'm not sure when this redundancy decision was taken but you could have benefited from the "28 days" concession to apply for ILR before your 5 years mark.

They say that they can only give the ILR supporting letter stating that I am needed in the job till 30th Sep 2025. Can I still apply for ILR with this letter? You need a letter saying that your sponsor needs you in the job for the foreseeable future. September is in a few weeks! What happens if I ...

That's a question for your solicitor who managed this application. UKVI's response letter should say what you should do and/or what are your options. According to your original post, it seems your previous visa is already expired so you no longer have a valid leave to stay in the UK. Speak with your ...
