Can i apply on the basis that employer is reapply for sponsor license and i need extension to purse the same That's not a compelling reason. Re: Global talent visa

The visa expiry date is the "valid until" date on the BRP. If it says 31-05-2024 then you need to submit another application before/by that date, if not you will be an overstayer. An endorsement application is not a visa application, you apply for a GTV after the endorsement is granted. No...

You already were advised that you don't need any letter from a previous employer, not sure why you're still asking this.

Re: Global talent visa

What route are you applying for? who is the endorsing body? When you submit the endorsement application, usually the endorsing body tells you an estimated timeline to get a decision. The first stage implies applying for endorsement, it's not a visa application. Once endorsement is granted then the v...

Re: Counting the 28 days before 5 years

25/07/2019 - 25/07/2024 - five years, the day before (24/07) is day one-backwards. The date of decision is highlighted in there because that's the most beneficial date for an applicant, it's the last stage of the process. The date of application is the least beneficial and somehow less relevant for ...

Re: Is Employer required to update Home Office for Skilled Worker Employee Absence?

Working a few days or weeks a year from home in the UK has no impact on your visa conditions. If you will be working for a few days or weeks from abroad obviously you need to inform your line manager - at least. If they're ok with that then you don't need any letter from HR. An approval email from y...

Re: After Brexit - rules for family members visiting the UK

There's a site where someone wanting to come to the UK can see if they need a visa and what type of visa depending on their purposes. https://www.gov.uk/check-uk-visa Applying for a visit visa to bring parents (or grandparents) to look after children have been discussed extensively on this forum. Do you have any views on what should be done? If you sent a query to the link provided by UKVI and they responded to register with the existing BRP then follow their instructions. I think it'll be difficult for someone else to tell you otherwise. Perhaps you will not receive a new BRP as the curren...

Re: What visa can dependent switch to if I get ILR

Your partner don't need to switch to any other visa, she can stay as a dependant of a skilled worker even after the main applicant gets ILR. Remember that the immigration rules are constantly changing (there are general elections in the UK in a few months), and such rules might not be the same in 20...

Re: applying for (ILR) under the skilled worker visa

I think UKVI would have risen any issues during the last visa application, it seems it didn't happen and the process went smoothly.

I wouldn't worry much about this, you already have a valid visa that makes you eligible for ILR - if the requirements are met.

The current/old employer has no involvement if you're changing jobs and employer.

There won't be any interaction between the old and new employer during the visa application process, there's no need for that.

Re: Skilled worker Cos dates and IHS charges

What is your current visa? are you switching from what visa type exactly?

For the skilled worker route, the employer can issue a CoS for two years and you will need to pay all the fees, including IHS for the period of time in the CoS, and for every applicant.

The BRP card number is given to that card only, it's not a person ID number.

It doesn't matter if you have ILR or any other immigration status.
