Re: Citizenship Ceremony cancelled due to Covid-19

I finally received my ceremony invitation letter from my council (Islington) yesterday, and was lucky to be able to book the ceremony for today. I was yet to receive the Home Office invitation letter but in the end I didn’t need it. I wish everyone here the best. For reference my dates are below: Ap...

Re: UKVI letter after approval

I received my approval letter via email, which said next step is the ceremony, and I will receive a ceremony invitation letter. I'm not sure if there's an approval letter we get via mail.

Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

I sent my application on APRIL 27th - uploaded all documents and submitted them. Yet still waiting for the IDV email. I believe this has something to do with the UKVCAS system. The ILR application I made last year is somehow still 'active' on their system. I know that because every time I log in, UK...

Re: Citizenship Ceremony cancelled due to Covid-19

Got an email from Islington Council today, saying they will start doing virtual citizenship ceremonies soon and they are in the process of figuring out the technical details with their IT team and management. Good news.

Re: Help - Requirement not met, not present on actual date

Yes. I was only waiting for an update on facial image but this happened. This is new information for me. Did you upload your documents on UKVCAS site AND submit those (using the new 'Submit your uploaded documents to UKVI' checkbox), or were they just uploaded and not submitted? And could you help ...

Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

I applied on 9th of June and While I was creating the account with UKVCAS it identified me as existing customer and asked me to put the Unique Application number, So I did and then I uploaded my documents as well. So every time I log in it asks me to put the application number. And now I've got thi...

I’m sorry for “throwing assumptions” - all I said was there’s no need to worry at this stage but if you want to worry by all means, don’t let reason stop you.

Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

Some of you guys are overreacting. I got this email too (applied on April 27th), it doesn’t let you book an appointment. It is just for information. You don’t need to worry at all until UKVCAS start requesting photos to complete and submit the application - which they said they will in the next few...

Re: ECAA Turkish Worker ILR Application - When to apply?

Thanks. I beg to differ re timeframe. There is a Turkish ECAA forum where users are reporting that ECAA ILR applications are taking an average of 4 months at the moment. It's very rare to get a response before that. And this is from the ECAA ILR guidance: "Calculating the continuous period The conti...

Re: ECAA Turkish Worker ILR Application - When to apply?

Thanks for the response. In this case I qualify for ILR application in 25 March 2020. It takes up to 6 months for Home Office to process ECAA ILR applications, and the guidance says qualifying period is calculated from either (i) the application date, (ii) or the decision date, whichever is more ben...

ECAA Turkish Worker ILR Application - When to apply?

Hi all I completed my ILR application last week and have an appointment scheduled for later today. But one thing I just noticed on my police registration form made me think - your opinion will be appreciated. I came to the UK with a Tier 2 ICT visa valid for 1 year in November 2013, and switched to ...
