Citizenship certificate sent back to UKVI

Dear gurus, My wife received an email from ukvi on July 16 2022 asking to provide explanation as to why she did not pay heed to her ceremony invitation. We were shocked coz we had applied for naturalisation in October 2021 and have been diligently following up since April 2022 after the 6months SLA ...

What is the difference?
Different sections of the law, different requirements, different fees.

In your case, it is based on the age of the child.
Thank you Simon

Re: British citizenship for child born outside of the UK holding an ILR

Children are registered as British and the fee is less (£1012) than for adults naturalising. It is the same process of applying online, form MN1 for children and form AN for adults, and enrolling biometrics and submitting supporting documents. It is UKVI that deals with both registration and natura...

Re: British citizenship for child born outside of the UK holding an ILR

Only adults over 18 are naturalised. Children under 18 are registered, regardless of where they are born. What is the difference? Sorry for being daft, registration is done by paying the same fee but somewhere else? Or if we both become citizens, my daughter will just have to be registered? Where w...

Re: British citizenship for child born outside of the UK holding an ILR

Also if I am a citizen, and my wife is also a citizen, do I have to naturalise my daughter who already holds an ILR till 2024? You only need to naturalise or register the child if you want them to become a British citizen. If you don't want British citizenship for them, you don't have to naturalise...

Re: ILR - PBS Dependant - Cohabitation documents

Hi apologies, as I also have a cohabitation proof question - the Set(o) archived form guidance states the below "If you have a spouse or civil partner listed in section 2 of this application form who is applying at the same time as you, please provide documentary evidence of cohabitation since you w...

Re: Tier 2 General ILR Absences Letter

Dear all, Many thanks for your help in this, I got my ILR done in Croydon and the decision arrived in under an hour for me which I thought was ridiculous! I did get my absences letter from my previous employer though - I contacted my current employer’s immigration lawyer who deemed it as a mandatory...

Re: Tier 2 General ILR Absences Letter

I applied for my ILR over two years ago. I have had only one employer. They refused to give me a list of holidays on the letter. However, they did mention that I did not breach my holiday limit and that I never had any unreported absences. That worked for me. I think the case worker just needs to h...

Not sure this is helpful, but a few things stuck out to me (i'm dealing with a similar issue, so have been reading up). Re: Tier 2 General ILR Absences Letter

Thanks but in 2016 I had a total of 54 days including weekends and holidays ☹️ And hence you need an absence letter for that period alone from ur previous employer. For the days you were out of the country due to work. https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attac...

Tier 2 General ILR Absences Letter

Hello gurus, Need some clarity for my application. I had originally entered the UK in 2011 under Tier 2 ICT established staff category, and successfully switched to Tier 2 General category in Nov 2014 in country. However, I had changed job again with a different sponsor in Jun 2018. When I started a...
