Re: Visitor visa query

Tank you fro your response, i really appreciate it. What could be an example of co-sponsor? What would the co-sponsor demonstrate as a strong tie? She is needed in her home country because she looks after her grandchildren.

Re: Visitor Visa query for my husband's aunty

Thank you so much for the response. I really appreciate it. I have noted your advice. With regard to response to number 3, not sure what to provide as fiances and ties to the home country since she is unemployed amd is dependent to family members hence why we want to sponsor her. Would you please ...

Applying for settled status

Hi. I would like to seek some guidance on when I should apply for settled status. I am non-eu citizen who is married to Eu national who has settled status. I arrived in the Uk since 8th December 2019 with family permit visa. I applied for pre-settled status in February 2020 Questions: 1. When would ...

Dual nationality

I am eu national (Cypriot) been residing in the UK for the last 15 years with settled status. My husband joined me in the UK for the last 2.5 years and has pre-settled status. If I apply for British citizenship to have dual nationality, would it allow my husband to apply for British nationality ...

Re: EEA (FM)application taking long

We still have not heard anything from HO regarding our application. It has been 3 months since application was submitted and fees is still not collected from HO apart from an email to say application is in progress 2 month ago. What to do in this case? Who to contact? Is this safe at this stage to ...

EEA (FM)application taking long

My husband who is a non- eu national has applied for EEA residence card after he obtained his Pre-settlement status. However the fees has not been collected from home office and it worries us. We submitted the application in May 2020 as special delivery and received an email from home office to ...

HO processing time for EEA Residence card application during Covid 19

Hello everyone. Anyone knows if HO is receiving EEA FM application during this climate? Is their centre temporarily closed during the lockdown of the outbreak? If they are opened, what is likely to be the processing time for application? I am in the process of sending application + important ...

Re: Applying for EEA RC after pre-settled status BRC for non-eu national as family member of eu national

Difficult to say. Taken to the letter, it could be interpreted that one needs to submit one's EU Settlement Scheme BRC, but that is an unfortunate consequence of having applied in the wrong order. The EEA RC caseworker is not expecting at all a EU Settlement Scheme BRC. Now, if that is the only ...

Re: Applying for EEA RC after pre-settled status BRC for non-eu national as family member of eu national

1. Would the home office request him to return his pre-settlement card on the basis of his application for EEA RC? Meaning that he can't have the two cards. No. At no point in the application process of the EEA RC are you even asked if you have a EU Settlement Scheme card, hence having one is ...

Re: Applying for EEA RC after pre-settled status BRC for non-eu national as family member of eu national

Can anyone make sense of this sentence below? I thought the HO asking for submission of pre-settlement BRC when applying for EEA. "If you currently have or last had: "A residence card (biometric format) confirming your right to reside under the EEA regulations, Or A biometric residence permit ...

Re: Applying for EEA RC after pre-settled status BRC for non-eu national as family member of eu national

 we went by what we were told my immigration lawyers. Your solicitor was right as he recommended you apply under the new scheme rather than under the one that is being slowly deprecated. As immigration applications are painful and often expensive, nobody wants to apply for a card that will ...

Re: Applying for EEA RC after pre-settled status BRC for non-eu national as family member of eu national

Hello I haven't seen anyone doing it in this order. Most people do the opposite. Still, as both scheme are "compatible" with each other, having one doesn't exclude you from the other. In that sense, I don't see why the Home Office would take away the EU Settlement Scheme card if you apply for an ...

Applying for EEA RC after pre-settled status BRC for non-eu national as family member of eu national

Hello. Does anyone applied for pre-settlement status then EEA RC? My husband has pre-settlement status BRC. He is a non eu citizen and married to me(eu citizen). He came in to the UK initially with a family permit sticker on his passport. We applied for the pre-settlement rather than EEA RC as we ...

Re: Travel with BRC through EU Settled Scheme

Slightly off topic, did you consider getting visa instead? As your husband he can apply with less requirements (no itinerary and financial info), this application is free of charge and is normally expedited compared to standard visit visa. Waiting time for EEA RC makes it completely senseless to ...
