There is a lot more to it than meets the eye. I recently received my FOI documents, i launched my application in 2019 - over 2 years waiting now. All necessary check (Documents verification, Stamps, GARDA VETTING) were verified and approved within 4 months of launching application and no further act...

There are people out there who were approved in 2019 and have not been able to receive an invitation due to covid. Considering situation in the World this delays are understandable. Even if they started sending affidavits to approved applicant, it will be long before the backlog is cleared. I think...

Guys, I'm also in the same boat. My second stage letter is also from June-2019 and since then its been all gimmick responses from the department. Disappointing to say the least, for straight forward applications they are taking nearly 2 years to fix.
