Lets hope for some more good news soon.

Re: Citizenship ceremonies on 3rd July 2020

A person lives here for 5 years, pays his taxes and has a clean record. That should be enough of a proof that he is of a good character and not a serial killer who kill stay quiet for 5 years and only start killing again after exactly 5 years. All applications were being approved in 6 months before ...

Re: Citizenship ceremonies on 3rd July 2020

To those who are asking, what will happen after this petition. I ask you: What happens after an organised protest? Around 2000 taxis gathered in the City Centre the other day to protest (from Merrion Square to BallyFermot).. What will happen after that? Having seen such irresponsible questions, I ha...

Re: Citizenship ceremonies on 3rd July 2020

I'm sorry but I think its not fair to write this: ¨A lot of applicants also believe that some nationalities are being delayed for an approval, while others are not facing this problem and their applications get prioritised in general and they get the approval sooner." Some countries are sharing inf...

Re: Citizenship ceremonies on 3rd July 2020

There was and is no public health concern for the e ceremonies. If there was, then those 21 people would not have got the citizenship in the pilot ceremony. To all the people leaving negative comments, I would simply ignore you. Like it or dislike it, you guys are part of the problem and not the sol...

Re: Citizenship ceremonies on 3rd July 2020

The July ceremony didn't go ahead, so I think we can post on this topic until a new date is announced. At least, we have a common platform that we are all sharing. Making a new post might defeat this purpose. Thanks for signing.

Re: Citizenship ceremonies on 3rd July 2020

Correction: They cleared a massive backlog in the past as well after a court ruling that ordered them to do so. So they can do it if they want to. Re: Citizenship ceremonies on 3rd July 2020

All of us have faced tough and difficult circumstances due to COVID 19 and a lot of us would have lost their jobs, couldn't travel [like myself] or travelled but got stuck, like in the above example. I think it would have been great if they realise these real problems that the applicants are facing,...

Re: Citizenship ceremonies on 3rd July 2020

To be honest it was the same number of people when passports were being issued in the given 5 to 6 months period of time. It s probably just the unfair way they have dealt with the applications in the recent years. They gave approval to people applying in 2019 and kept people from 2016 to 2018 waiti...

guys We have to take a step ? Due to Covid-19 safety guidelines, there are no Protests or gatherings, so I know this never really works but suggest to petition on the internet. Here is the reply that my local Minister has got from them. I will be travelling during the months of November and December and I'll be really pissed, if they don't hold a ceremony in early October. It looks like Dail will resume next week. Hopefully some TD will ask about ceremony status.

What is the process to ask your TD to do such request?
Just go to https://www.whoismytd.com/ website and search for your TD and send them an email.

Re: Citizenship ceremonies on 3rd July 2020

If they want, they can have multiple short ceremonies in one day by just focusing on the legal requirements and not going too much in details but all we see from the Facebook page of our new young minister is that she is only gallivanting and going from one place to another and not even talking abou...

Re: Citizenship ceremonies on 3rd July 2020

It's mid of August and there is no news on the next ceremony. Having a Virtual ceremony of only 21 people is no good I believe. Those 21 had got their approvals anyway. It's about the massive backlog. Apparently, our new Minister doesn't seem to realise this, as there is complete Silence after the m...
