They sent me an email asking to do it. Apparently they could'nt reuse my bio metrics from 2015. Did you do your Biometric on 25th of August and got the confirmation email on the same day? Thanks. No, I did my Bio on 25th July and got the approval email 25th August. Ok great. Thanks for the info.

Pretty sure it's for free. But you might need to pay for biometrics if the free slots are not available.

No there is no fee for the application. The only fee you may likely pay will be the biometric appointment fee if you are unlucky to get one of the free slots. Yes, you can, if you are not intending to travel after the expiration of your current BRC. You can rely on your digital settlement status to proof your legal status in this country if required.
