Re: Do long-term visitor visa holders have to pay health surcharge? If yes, are they eligible for GP reg & NHS treatment

I experienced this twice i.e with my dad and my mother in law (two seperate occasions). For both, the hospital made it clear either the patient or the next of kin will be required to pay the bill. My dad had a heart attack here in 2012, and was in CCU for a couple of nights ( it costs approx £3k pe...

Re: ILR holder vs British Citizen.

ILR is just a normal permanent leave to remain while being a British national is totally a different case. Many migrants think both are similar rights wise but it is totally opposite of it. With ILR when travel outside UK very often silly immigration officers try to find something from your history ...

Re: Travelling on Naturalisation Certificate

Would you consider delaying the ceremony until you come back?. If yes, I suggest you call the council to rearrange the ceremony.

Re: British Citizenship - Naturalisation

Dear All, I want to share two quite bizarre scenarios I witnessed today. So yesterday I paid fee and submitted the naturalisation applications for me and my partner, I received details to book appointment for us to attend and upload documents on UKVCAS website, but then this happened: 1) Documents ...

Re: British citizenship (online AN form) - english language query

To be honest I still not convinced myself. I know it is a risk. OK, another try, I've looked at AN paper form (https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/834937/form-an-10-19.pdf) and see below: Knowledge of language/life in the UK 1.22 How do yo...

Re: British citizenship (online AN form) - english language query

Hi Xterra, Thanks for sharing your experience. Yep, I've seen the checklist at the end but there is a note: " From the list of documents below, provide as many as you can. Tick each document to confirm that you have read the requirement, even if you cannot send it. " I think HO not asking us to sen...

Re: British citizenship (online AN form) - english language query

Hi, I went through this process recently. My immigration history is as follows :Tier 1 General (June 2011) -> ILR (June 2016). I have used same qualification for English language for Tier 1 and ILR without the need for NARIC. However, when I completed the naturalization application, one of the suppo...

Re: Referee for citizenship application

Thanks but if application does not ask for it then how people will know about it and why we are following 2017 case worker guideline. I only looked into it because my one child was born in UK and and I applied his citizenship about year ago and I had to find professional referee with professional e...

Re: British Naturalisation - Referee (made a mistake)

Many thanks it’s very helpful. Shall fill new referee come and upload it too ? Based on my recent experience, you will be able to remove and upload documents until you submit your biometrics. You should not do this after you have done your biometrics though. In the UKVCAS website under 'Upload docu...

Name registed with DVLA is different

Hi gurus, I come from a country where there is no concept of a Surname. Even my passport does not have a section for surname. When i got my driving licence many years ago, i have for reasons i do not recall, combined my middle name and last name eg surname: "Ben Jones". In all other official use (eg...

Question regarding the Proof of living and Proof of Freedom

Hi,
I have a follow on question related to above, hopefully it is ok to do it in this thread. I am applying via the ILR 5 year route. My question is regarding the stamps on passport. Do I need to scan all stamps for the past 5 years or only the most recent entry into the UK?
Thank you
