Re: Naturalisation certificates after getting passports

I applied for the passports separately: several months ago for the adults and recently for the childeren. The adult documents (foreign passports only) were returned a couple of months ago, with no delays. The children's docs arrived last week, both foreign passports and certificates in one envelope....

Naturalisation certificates after getting passports

Hello Forum, The British passports were issued and sent for the family all right. However, for every member, I had sent to the Passport Office the foreign passport and naturalisation certificate. The children got both passports and certificates back, but for the adults, only foreign passports were r...

Children's application

Hello, I applied for my naturalisation in September 2020, received the decision in November, and now wait for my council to invite me for the online ceremony, the council confirmed that they already received my naturalisation certificate. My spouse and our two children, who were born outside the UK,...

Return of the documents sent over for the first adult British passport

Although my naturalisation letter, as well as the official webpage, warns that it may take more than the standard 6 weeks to get the first adult passport, I see in the timeline thread that actually it happens a lot faster, in just a couple of weeks. I was wondering if the originals I need to send ov...

Self-Employment and Pension Credits

Hello, I'd appreciate it if you could advise on the following. As a self-employed person earning less than £6475 am I entitled to pension credits arising from the child benefit for an under-12? What happens if my income goes over £6475? (If it is relevant, I've opted out of getting the actual money ...

References: Original or Scan

It is more difficult under the lockdown to arrange for the references. I was wondering, since the application is fully online and no originals need to be sent over to the Home Office, if I can fill out my section of the reference, attach my photo, then scan it and email it to the referee, who will p...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Thank you, Cullinan I agree it is not clear. Further they say: Public services The majority of public services will continue and you will be able to leave home to visit them. These include: the NHS and medical services like GPs and dentists. We are supporting the NHS to carry out urgent and non-urge...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Hi, I'm applying for my two children. After several days of chasing for the appointments, I finally picked up a cancellation for tomorrow in London. - Can I go to London if I live in tier 2? Will we have to self-isolate after that? - Is there a chance to squeeze in the second child? No document chec...

Is it clarified somewhere if people are allowed to travel between various tiers for the appointments?

There is no point to go via SET(F) when SET(O) is available .
I agree.

What about proof of a child's care and accommodation, please?

Re: Child: SET (O) or SET (F)?

Thank you, I got that there was a choice. It seems that the main difference is that SET (F) requires more information in terms of adequate maintenance and accommodation, so SET (O) is simpler. Anything else? Rule 319J also has that part: (h) All arrangements for the child’s care and accommodation in...

Child: SET (O) or SET (F)?

Hello, Could you please advise if a child (under 16, currently on Tier 1 dependant child visa) of two settled parents (former Tier 1 Entr + dependant spouse) should apply under SET (O) or SET (F)? SET (F) is regulated by para 298 of the Immigration Rules. Which paragraph regulates SET (O)? Many than...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

I provided my biometrics today through London Victoria Enhanced centre, was super quick. It was only 3 people entering with me and the list of people seemed very small. No queues inside - it's super safe if you're worried about COVID. Plus it only took me 15 mins all together. My route is ILR Tier ...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

I see people discuss the priority service here too: maybe it should have a separate thread?

My question is how and where the Home Office will announce the return of the priority service? Which page should I check for that?

Thanks

Do you think it is a single queue for appointments for all application types or are there different streams?

Re: COVID effect on visa processing and timing

Hello forum members, I applied yesterday for a PBS dependant child visa and, not surprisingly, was unable to get an appointment. Firstly, none of the centres which were supposed to be open from 22 June is actually open. Secondly, out of 10 open centres, none has any available appointments till end J...

Which exact requirement of 298 he does not meet?

Under (ii) a child is supposed to have a limited leave and be under 18. It does not specify what kind of leave.

Child on Tier 4 to ILR

Hello, I already asked about my child's situation some time ago and would like to add another question in the light of some new ideas. Can a child under 16 and on a student visa apply for ILR under paragraph 298 of Part 8 of the Immigration Rules? One parent is already settled as PBS and the other p...
