What about people who did not need an extension to their existing LTR (under pre April-2006 HSMP), but had to wait an extra 1 year and thus incur the increased fee (effective from April 2007) for settlement application ?
Is there any directive from UKBA with regards to refunds in above case ?

Irrespective of the court ruling, anyone applying for naturalisation should be free of immigration control (i.e. on ILR) atleast for a year before applying. The recent court ruling I think do not have any bearing on the above clause for naturalisation, which still holds true for any naturalisation a...

I think another apsect that you will need to consider as well is about whether or not you will be paying taxes/NI in UK while working for the same employer in another country. At the moment under the prevailing rules you have got enough leave to remain to take you through to ILR (assuming you are in...

It just tells that you are the employee with them in XXX designation since XX date.Of course it may state your residential address aswell. As mentioned by FKarim, under the existing ILR rules the applicant would need a letter from ...

Willsk22,

This thread is for tracking the timeline for already submitted citizenship applications, so let it be used for what it was originally meant to do.

Please open a new thread with your queries and am sure someone will answer them.

Search for jobs matching your skillset on cwjobs.co.uk, jobsite.co.uk, monster.co.uk

The catch is, even if you do find jobs in your domain, in the current climate it is hard to differentiate genuine job ads from fake ones, the later being more prevalent.

You work permit and leave to remain is specific to UK, it does not allow you to travel and/or work in other EU countries.
For you to be able to do that your employer will require to apply for business visa / schengen visa on your behalf.

If you hold ILR, then as of now you are entitled to claim public funds such as child benefit, child tax credits etc. "No recourse to public funds" is a condition imposed for certain categories such as work visas. Your best bet is to contact UKBA and explain them your situation and ask them the proce...

Although, I don't think account in India with HSBC will help you in any way to open an account with them in UK. The same should apply for any bank.
