Re: Entry clearance stamp against the wrong visa

Hi,

Just wanted to let you know that the I got my ILR approved today. The caseworker did get confused but I talked it through with him about the incorrect stampings. So don't worry if your entry clearance stamp is against the old visa.

Entry clearance stamp against the wrong visa

Hi, I am applying for my ILR application this week and just wanted to check something. I first entered the UK under Tier1 general on 26th Jan 2009. However, I had been living in the country on a HSMP dependent visa before I left the country to switch into Tier 1 (general) category and seek entry cle...

Advice needed - BRP(RC) - what happens if you withrdaw appl?

Hi there, I applied for a Name Change on my BRP card by filling in the BRP(RC) form and submitted it to the Home office on 21st Jan 2012. I then did my biometrics on 28th Feb 2012. It's 27th April today and I still haven't received my documents yet. When I applied for Name Change, based on the infor...

I just tried to book a PEO but can't get any appointment for anytime this year. What's going on? How people are getting appointments is becoming a mystery for me. Can someone please let me know why I am not getting a single appointment?

I submitted my application for BRP(RC) on 21st Jan 2012, gave my biometrics on 28th Feb and I am still waiting to receive my documents back. I would be a clear winner if you're looking for someone whose application has taken over 3 months to process. Is there anyone who waited or still waiting over...

I posted the original question on this thread 2 months ago. That time I was getting frustrated for not receiving a biometric letter for my BRP(RC) application which was submitted to the Home Office on 21st Jan 2012 . 3 months down, I am now waiting to receive my documents back. I submitted my biomet...

Hi there, I submitted my documents via post for BRP(RC) on 21st Jan. I received a letter asking me to submit my biometric details nearly after 5 weeks of my application. Then I submitted my biometrics on 28th Feb. I am still waiting to receive my BRP and passport back. It's been over 2 months since ...

Salary slips with inconsistent NI numbers

@raxs1983 - Thanks for your reply. I just noticed the temporary NI number and it does match my DOB as you say. Ok, so that explains it a bit more. Thanks for that. The earnings are legit and the salary amount matches with my bank statement. So which of the following, you think would be the best cour...

@Manka10 - Thanks for your reply. You're right, they did apply a temporary tax code for initial 2 months but they never bothered to follow up with me before putting a temporary NI number. It didn't occurr to me either, that they were putting some temporary NI number on my pay slip until later. Slopp...

Salary slips with inconsistent NI numbers

Hi there, I am planning to extend my Tier 1(General) visa. I changed my job last year and joined a new company. Because initially, they didn't have my P45, they put a placeholder NI number on a couple of my salary slips than the actual NI number. Due to this, now, I have 2 wage slips with some tempo...

Biometric appointments for BRP(RC) (Name change)

Timelines: Biometric appointments for BRP(RC) (Name change)

Hi, I recently changed my name and wanted to update my Biometric details to reflect my new name. Hence I filled in the BRP(RC) form and submitted my old and new passports indicating my old and new names respectively. I submitted all these documents via post to Durham on 21st Jan 2012 and I am still ...

Get passport attested before posting it (in-country visa)???

Hi, I am in the process of extending my visa and as there is no way I can get a PEO appointments unless I seek help of a solicitor, I am considering posting my documents to the home office. That's a good question. I asked the same question when I first got my visa. You can claim the salary for a month as long as 1) the date on which the salary comes into your account is within your 12 months continuous salary claim for points (so do your dates maths accordingly) 2) and the salary date ...

That is disgusting! These solicitors are abusing the online system that is meant to be used by general public for their appointments at PEO. And charging us fee only to get us a slot at PEO! It completely defeats the purpose of online booking system. UKBA won't take any appointments on phone either.

Thanks for the reply and sharing your opinion. I guess currently it's taking two months on average to receive the passport back, but this is not official. This is based on my research in the forum. Hi, I am planning to send my visa for extension as well and have a same question in mind. Although I had given my biometrics details at the time of initial application in India, I never received any BRP from them then. So I dont have a BRP now but I know I went through a process of giving Biometric ...
