Re: Tier 1 to ILR

You do not need maintenance funds for ILR application. When filling the form, a checklist of documents you need will be generated.

My esteemed moderators,

Kindly advise on the type of documents that can be used to support proof of residence for the last 5 years.

Kind regards

Referee for Naturalisation

Happy New Year Moderators,

Please, can a Support Worker (care worker) act as a referee for a naturalisation application?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards.

Re: Travelling while BRP is not expired but course is

There shouldn't be any problems coming back since the person has valid reasons for doing so - graduation and the intention to apply for Graduate Visa.

I don't think you have any problem working full time now since you've completed your studies.

You have no business with the Innovator Visa. Look for another immigration route.

You were away for nine months and expect to be granted entry 20 days to the expiration of your student visa???

Why don't you just complete your studies and have a qualification instead of depending on a dependant status?

Re: ILR Tier 2 Work Visa + Tier 1 Entrepreneur Visa

My humble opinion:

I doubt if you can combine the two visa categories together to qualify for ILR. You can only combine different visa categories if the total number of years is at least 10 years to qualify for ILR on the basis of long residence.

I stand to be corrected.

Why not continue with your Tier 1 visa for now and maybe change to a dependant visa towards the end of its expiration date???

Re: Tier 4 and the two-year post-study work visa

Exactly. This is what is going to happen. Those with post-study permits will still face the herculean task of getting sponsorship for Tier 2 jobs. But they should hopefully be exempted from the Residency Labour Market Test which should make things a bit easier.

IELTS and ILR

Happy New Year guys. A new comer and first post.

I'll be filing for ILR soon. I did my Masters Degree and Doctorate Degree in the UK. Do I need to sit for IELTS (Test of English) as part of the requirements???

Thanks.

Re: PBS Dependent, Restricted work No Dr/Den Train Or Sportsperson

Hi,

As a Dependant of a Tier 4 PBS Visa holder, you have unrestricted right to work in the UK, except that you cannot train/work as a doctor, dentist or sports person.
